About the artist
While Manhattan looks increasingly like a shopping mall, NYC-based Savants sing “Sneak E. Gardner” – a song about a “commie mami” crawling on the walls of the city’s crypts. Savants have played over 100 shows in Brooklyn and Manhattan, from gritty clubs to house parties to pizzerias. The spirit of the underground is strong on their self-produced new release, a split 7 inch with Orange County-based Tomorrows Tulips that was written and recorded in a Bushwick studio next to a noodle factory.
