The word parikrama means 'orbital revolutions' in Sanskrit. In its 2014 listing of "25 Greatest Indian Rock Songs of the last 25 Years", "Rolling Stone India" featured But It Rained by the band.
Fuzön is a pop rock band from Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan formed in 2001. The name was derived from fusion, as the former vocalist Shafqat Amanat Ali describes the band as a fusion of Hindustani classical and modern soft rock music blended with the Sufi Style of singing. Indian Ocean is an Indian rock band formed in New Delhi in 1990, who are widely recognized as the pioneers of the fusion rock genre in India. Susmit Sen, Asheem Chakravarty, Rahul Ram and Amit Kilam were band members till Chakravarty's death on 25 December 2009, after which Tuheen Chakravorty and Himanshu Joshi were officially inducted into the band as replacements. After the departure of Susmit Sen in 2013, Rahul Ram is the only founding member who appeared on the band's debut album Indian Ocean. Sanjeev Sharma has collaborated with them as lyricist on many Albums. The musical style of the band can be at best classified as jazz fusion and fusion music. It is an experimental genre, fusing raga with rock music, guitars and drums, sometimes using Indian folk songs. It has also been described by some music critics as "Indo-rock fusion with jazz-spiced rhythms that integrates shlokas, sufism, environmentalism, mythology and revolution". Since 2010, the band has moved against the lines of record labels. They released their latest album 16/330 Khajoor Road online for free.

Avial are an Indian alternative rock band formed in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India in 2003, and known for their Malayalam lyrics. The band initially included lead vocalist Anandraj Benjamin Paul, turntablist and backing vocalist Tony John, guitarist Rex Vijayan, bassist Naresh Kamath and drummer Mithun Puthanveetil. Avial had their first breakthrough with the 2003 single "Nada Nada". They are known for pioneering what they call "Alternative Malayali rock", which is the style of combining Malayalam lyrics and rock music. Their eponymous album got them six out of seven Jack Daniels Rock Awards and Footprints Young Achiever's Award in 2008. The band was praised for achieving mainstream success despite singing in their native language. After Paul and Kamath's departure in 2008, John took over the vocals. Later Binny Isaac joined in as bassist and Neha Nair as backing vocalist. Their debut album covers social issues, consisting of folk songs and poems. In 2009, they collaborated with the Italian band A67 for the song "Chi Me Sape". They composed the singles "Aana Kallan" and "Chillane" for the Malayalam films Salt N' Pepper and 22 Female Kottayam.
Them Clones is an Indian rock band, formed sometime in August 2000 in New Delhi at drummer Surojit Dev's bedroom. The band started in a bedroom in South Delhi’s RK Puram area, resonating with drum loops and guitar riffs from where they were kicked out due to "excessive noise". The search for a new jam pad led them to other neighbourhoods, where they attempted covers of popular rock and grunge classics followed by the release of their own singles. They began by touring the Delhi University music scene and won many and noted competitions. The band were the "chosen ones" at the Channel [V] LaunchPad in 2005 and were voted as the 'Best Band' at Jack Daniel's Rock Awards in 2006 and 2007. In 2007, they were 2nd runners up at the Channel [V] AMP Big Break All Asia. They followed this up at The Jack Daniel's Rock Awards 2009 by winning 'Best Song', 'Best Vocalist' and 'Best Drummer' awards. 'My life' also was awarded the Best Song in the 'Rock Category' at IMA Awards. October 2009 witnessed their debut album Love.Hate.Heroes' with Counter Culture Records / EMI Records.
Suraj Jagan is an Indian playback singer. He is noted for the song Give Me Some Sunshine from the award-winning movie 3 Idiots. The song received the "Best Emerging Male Performer" award in the Max Stardust Award. Jagan's singing career began in 1990, and has included both solo work and as front man for the rock band Dream Out Loud. He has also worked in advertising jingle campaigns, Bollywood playback singing, acting in theatre productions and an acting role in the Bollywood film Rock On!! & "Hunterrr".

Lucky Ali (born 19 September 1958), born Maqsood Mahmood Ali, is an Indian singer songwriter, composer and actor. Lucky made his debut on the Indian music scene with the soulful album Sunoh which established him as a singer. This album won many of the top awards in Indian music, including the Best Pop Male Vocalist at the 1996 Screen Awards and the Channel V Viewers Choice Award in 1997. Lucky Ali started his playback singing career with the song " Walking All Alone" from the film Ek Baap Chhe Bete in 1978.
