Walk off the Earth is a Canadian independent alternative rock, ska, and reggae rock band from Burlington, Ontario. They are known for their music videos of covers and originals. The band is well known for its covers of pop genre music on YouTube, making use of uncommon instruments such as the ukulele and the theremin, as well as looping samples. The band's recorded music and videos are produced by member and multi-instrumentalist, Gianni "Luminati" Nicassio.
Distant Cousins is an American indie pop band from Los Angeles, California. Formed in 2012, the band is composed of Dov Rosenblatt, Duvid Swirsky, and Ami Kozak. Rosenblatt and Swirsky are members of the influential Jewish rock bands Blue Fringe and Moshav. They released their debut self-titled EP on September 16, 2014, followed by a second self-titled EP in 2015. Several of their songs have been featured in film, television, and commercials.
Zachary David "Zach" Sobiech was an American folk rock singer-songwriter from Stillwater, Minnesota, who was a member of the band A Firm Handshake. The single "Clouds" gained extensive media attention on YouTube, prior to Sobiech's death from cancer in May 2013. It charted on the Billboard Hot 100, eventually becoming a hit also in UK, Canada and France. "Clouds" hit #1 on iTunes in 2013.
