Glass Animals is a British four-piece psychedelic music project led by singer, songwriter, and producer Dave Bayley with his band mates and childhood friends Joe Seaward, Ed Irwin-Singer, and Drew MacFarlane.
In 2014, the band released their debut album, ZABA. Spotify noticed their rising potential, with the single "Gooey" and landed a top 2 spot on their global and UK viral charts at the end of the year. Having built up a devoted fan base following their second album, "How To Be A Human Being," Glass Animals garnered mainstream acclaim.
Bayley wrote and self-produced both of the band's albums. Their sophomore full album, How To Be A Human Being, won two gongs at the 2018 MPG awards for ‘UK Album of the Year’ and ‘Self Producing Artist of the Year’ along with a spot on the Mercury Prize shortlist. Outside of his work for Glass Animals, Bayley has written and produced for a number of artists including 6lack, Khalid, Joey Bada$$, Wale and Flume.
The band has become renowned for their wild and immersive live shows, playing re-worked, dance-heavy versions of their songs.
