On April 2, 2018 Billy returned to Los Angeles where he resides and a minute amount of liquid marijuana was discovered in his bag during a random search where Billy mistakenly forgot it in his bag when he left Los Angeles and returned after playing shows in Europe. Industry cornerstones such as DJ Mag and Mixmag supported Billy’s announcement and campaign, it was followed by the release of The Grind EP on Sola Records, other Rest Of World tour dates where he shared stages with Dixon, Áme, Anna and Martinez Brothers. #FreeBilly t-shirts have been appearing worn by fans at festivals across the U.S.A including EDC Las Vegas and Coachella.
