About the artist
But, have they captured the New York sound? There is a very literal communion with New York in their sampling of trains which run as dramatic ambiance throughout the song "Underground", and what I am guessing are hipsters in the park in "Venus", dirty waves and rainy streets that flow in and roll out of "Eight Two" and "Don't Feel Sorry", but also in their almost religious devotion to the city, as they put it: "...overcrowded, overpriced, but oh so hard to over-hype, the heartbreakingest city in the world that everyone loves to love, New York is still 'The City' and every day it doesn't kill us, it makes us more alive! If you picked us up and put us down in another town, we would all drop dead."
