The album has been commercially successful, peaking within the top ten of at least ten countries. True debuted at number two in the United Kingdom during September 2013, and has subsequently re-peaked at number two in February 2014. On 24 March 2014, Avicii released a remixed version of the album, titled True.
A 2-disc edition, comprising the standard 10-track "True" alongside the remix album was released featuring a brand new cover, in June 2014.
Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso continued working together under the name Axwell Λ Ingrosso and have since released two singles, "Can't Hold Us Down" and "Something New".
In October 2012, Harris released his third studio album, 18 Months, which contained the singles, "Bounce", "Feel So Close", "Let's Go", "We'll Be Coming Back", "Sweet Nothing", "Drinking from the Bottle", "I Need Your Love", and "Thinking About You". All of these singles reached the UK top 10. Harris has also written and produced tracks for other recording artists, including Kylie Minogue, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Dizzee Rascal, Cheryl Cole, Rita Ora, Example, and Rihanna's internationally successful single, "We Found Love", which gave him his first US number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100.
Born in Nacka, Stockholm, Sweden, Ingrosso grew up in Stockholm, where he spent his teenage years in his choreographer father Vito Ingrosso's studio learning how to make music. His first official remix was released on Mega Records in 1999. He was ranked #26 in 2011 on DJ Mag's Top 100 DJ list, and won the award for the highest new entry into the chart in 2009, a record beaten only by Deadmau5 into the 2008 Top 100 DJ list at #10. Sebastian Ingrosso is head of A&R for his own record label, Refune, which has pioneered many artists in recent years including AN21, Max Vangeli, Style of Eye and Alesso.
Brought to the attention of Sebastian Ingrosso, thanks to a chance meeting in their native Stockholm, his development as a DJ and producer came through first hand experience of touring alongside the Refune head honcho. Debuting alongside none other than Tim Bergling, a.k.a Avicii and Swedish peer Oliver Ingrosso, with their collaboration ‘iTrack’. Followed by his breakthrough single ‘Million Voices’, created in the back room of the studio whilst Ingrosso and Alesso penned festival favourite ‘Calling’. ‘Million Voices’ would propel the young producer forwards, proving a consistent favorite both across the airwaves and in clubs and setting the benchmark for his productions at an all-time-high.
From his debut single ‘Nillionaire’ and breaking through with the dark and energized ‘Raise Your Head’, Alesso has had successive Beatport chart toppers. His discography is one to be desired, with ‘Calling’ alongside Sebastian Ingrosso, ‘Years’ ft Matthew Koma, the 2013 Summer anthem ‘If I lose Myself’ a One Republic remix to his latest collaboration with Calvin Harris ft Theo Hurts – ‘Under Control’.
As a strong producer as well as a DJ the future looks bright, already having a Grammy nomination under his belt for ‘Best Remix of 2013’. Having already spun sets to a variety of crowds, on a backdrop of different skylines on various stages across the world, this is a man who is destined for greatness. For Alesso it’s his fans who motivate and inspire him to keep on producing hit after hit. Pursuing his passion for music is inbuilt, a way of life, which means that exciting times are ahead.
Hardwell first gained recognition in 2009 for his bootleg of "Show Me Love vs. Be". He founded record label Revealed Recordings in 2010 and his own radio show and podcast, Hardwell On Air in 2011. He has since released five compilation albums through his label, as well as his own documentary film. His debut album, United We Are was released on January 23, 2015.
