Poison Season is the tenth studio album by Canadian indie rock band Destroyer, released on August 28, 2015 by Merge Records and Dead Oceans Records.

Kaputt is the ninth album by Canadian band Destroyer. It was released on January 25, 2011 by Merge Records and Dead Oceans Records. The album was leaked towards the end of 2010. The vinyl edition of the album features bonus material on side three written largely by frequent Destroyer collaborator Ted Bois. This material is also included in the European CD version of the album credited as 'The Laziest River'.
The album was named as a shortlisted nominee for the 2011 Polaris Music Prize award.

Destroyer's Rubies is the seventh studio album by Canadian indie rock band Destroyer, released on February 21, 2006 on Merge Records, Scratch Records, Acuarela Discos, Architecture, and Rough Trade Records.

Your Blues is the sixth studio album by Destroyer, released on March 8, 2004 by Merge Records, Trifekta Records, Scratch Records, Talitres Records, and Acuarela Discos.
It is a notable departure from the full-band format of Destroyer's previous few albums, largely featuring MIDI-simulated orchestration as its backing music.
The album was reissued in 2014 by Merge Records.

This Night is the fifth studio album by Destroyer, released on October 2, 2002. Most of the material was written in Madrid, where Bejar went to sidestep a tour with The New Pornographers, following the critical success of that supergroups's first album. Ten years after its release, Bejar reflected on the impetus for This Night: "I was done with the English pop craft that I was into in the late 90s and into dark loose ends. I wanted to make a mysterious sounding record."

Streethawk: A Seduction

Streethawk: A Seduction is the fourth studio album by Destroyer, recorded in the fall of 2000 and released in 2001. It was recorded at JC/DC Studios and produced by JC/DC. It was reissued in 2010 on Merge Records.

Thief is the third studio album by Destroyer and the first recorded with a full band on every track. Thief is thought to be an attack on the music industry perhaps a response to the lack of success that Bejar's other band, The New Pornographers, were having after releasing their EP.

City of Daughters

Originally released in 1998 (and reissued on Merge in 2010), City of Daughters was Dan Bejar’s first foray into Destroyer mode. While it may lack the apocalyptic Ziggy Stardust panache of Streethawk: A Seduction (or to a lesser extent, Thief), it provides a wide open window to the artist’s metamorphosis from bedroom bard to Dadaist-indie poet laureate. Without all of the signature Destroyer flourishes ("lie lies" "la las" and choice "guitarmonies") Bejar’s clever wordplay feels even more surreal (tracks like “I Want This Cyclops” and “You Were so Cruel” point a longer finger at Syd Barrett than they do David Bowie). Like all Destroyer records, it requires more than a couple of spins to draw you in, but it rewards that patience with an endlessly inventive collection of serpentine melodies peppered with the kind of darkly funny, stream-of-consciousness refrigerator poetry that has come to define Bejar's nom de plume, and while there are a handful of cuts like “No Cease Fires! (Crimes Against the State of Our Love, Baby)”, “School and the Girls Who Go There,” and “Space Race” that lay the foundation for future recordings, City of Daughters is a stark town populated with hopeless eccentrics, which is probably just how Bejar likes it.

Notorious Lightning and Other Works is an EP by Destroyer, released on January 25, 2005 on Merge Records. After shocking many fans by supporting the synth driven album Your Blues with the avant-guitar band Frog Eyes, Dan Bejar decided to put to tape some of the very different versions of songs from Your Blues. Similar versions of these songs are currently streaming from CBC Radio Three.
