Luciferian Towers is the upcoming sixth studio album by Canadian post-rock band Godspeed You! Black Emperor, due for release on 22 September 2017. Information about the album was leaked via a press release on 13 July 2017, prior to the official announcement on 2 August 2017.
Music for People in Trouble is the upcoming sixth studio album by Norwegian singer-songwriter Susanne Sundfør, scheduled for release on 25 August 2017 through Bella Union.
American Dream is the upcoming fourth studio album by American rock band LCD Soundsystem. It is set for release on September 1, 2017 through DFA Records and Columbia Records. It was first announced on January 5, 2016, the day after it was revealed that the band was reuniting after a disbandment lasting nearly five years. American Dream acts as the band's first album in seven years, following This Is Happening. Prior to the album's release, LCD Soundsystem performed at large music festivals as well as smaller shows to promote their reunion. Two album tracks, "Call the Police" and "American Dream", were released together as the album's lead single on May 5, 2017.
Every Country's Sun is the ninth studio album by Scottish post-rock band Mogwai, to be released on 1 September 2017 on Rock Action Records in the UK and Europe, Temporary Residence Limited in the US, and Spunk Records in Australia.
Villains is the upcoming seventh studio album by American rock band Queens of the Stone Age, to be released on August 25, 2017. The album was announced on June 14, with a teaser trailer taking the form of a comedy skit featuring the band performing a polygraph test with Liam Lynch. The first single, "The Way You Used to Do", was released the following day along with the announcement of a world tour. Villains does not feature any guest musicians unlike the band's previous albums.
A Deeper Understanding is the fourth studio album by American indie rock band The War on Drugs. It will be released on August 25, 2017, through Atlantic Records.
