Father of the Bride is the fourth studio album by American indie rock band Vampire Weekend. It was released on May 3, 2019 by Columbia Records, as their first album on a major label.
The release marked the band's first project in nearly six years, following Modern Vampires of the City, and the group's first project since multi-instrumentalist and producer Rostam Batmanglij's departure from the group. It was primarily produced by Modern Vampires of the City collaborator Ariel Rechtshaid and lead singer Ezra Koenig, and features numerous external collaborators, including Danielle Haim, Steve Lacy, Dave Macklovitch of Chromeo, DJ Dahi, Sam Gendel, BloodPop, Mark Ronson, and Batmanglij. The pop and indie rock album is musically diverse and heavily referential, contrasting heavy and direct lyrics against a bright spring-time musical mood, with a stronger American influence than on the group's previous work.
The album was preceded by three double singles: "Harmony Hall" / "2021", "Sunflower" / "Big Blue" and "This Life" / "Unbearably White".

5 Seconds Of Summer
Youngblood is the third studio album by Australian pop rock band 5 Seconds of Summer. The album was initially set to be released on 22 June 2018, but it was later brought forward to 15 June. In support of the album, the band embarked on the Meet You There Tour. The US Target edition was made available with two exclusive songs plus an extra released in Japan, each featuring a member of the band on the cover.
Four singles have been released in support of the album: "Want You Back", "Youngblood", "Valentine" and a re-recorded version of "Lie to Me" featuring Julia Michaels. The album was released to positive acclaim, praising the lyrical maturity and the sound change from their previous work.

Something to Tell You is the second studio album by American pop rock band Haim. It was released on July 7, 2017, by Columbia Records. The album's lead single, "Want You Back", was released on May 3, 2017, followed by the release of the promotional single "Right Now". On May 10, the album cover was revealed, along with the preorder announcement. "Little of Your Love" was then announced as the second single on June 18, 2017, via Twitter. "Nothing's Wrong" was released as the third single on August 21, 2017. "Walking Away" was released as the fourth single on December 8, 2017.

Love Is Dead is the third studio album by Scottish synth-pop band Chvrches. It was released on 25 May 2018 by Virgin EMI Records and Goodbye Records. The album was co-produced by Greg Kurstin, marking the first time the band have worked with outside producers. The band collaborated with David Stewart from Eurythmics and Matt Berninger from The National during production. The album was announced by Martin Doherty at the start of January 2018, with frontwoman Lauren Mayberry accidentally revealing the album's name in a since-deleted interview that same month.
After wiping their social media accounts, the band released the lead single, "Get Out", on 31 January. The track listing for the album was released two days before the next single, "My Enemy", which featured Berninger, was released on 28 February. The third single from the album, "Never Say Die", was released on 29 March. "Miracle" was released as the fourth single on 10 April.

Politics of Living is the third studio album by the Irish rock band Kodaline. It was released on 28 September 2018 through labels B-Unique Records and Sony Music UK. Politics of Hope features prominent production collaborations with musicians such as Steve Mac, Stephen Harris, and Jonny Coffer. Five singles were issued from the album: "Brother", "Follow Your Fire", "Shed a Tear", "Worth It", and "Head Held High". Commercially, Politics of Living was a success within Europe. The album peaked at number one on the Irish Albums Chart, becoming Kodaline's third number one album, and at 15 on the UK Albums Chart.

After Laughter is the fifth studio album by American rock band Paramore. It was released on May 12, 2017, through Fueled by Ramen as a follow-up to Paramore, their 2013 self-titled album. The album was produced by guitarist Taylor York alongside previous collaborator, Justin Meldal-Johnsen. It is the band's first album since the return of drummer Zac Farro, who left the band with his brother Josh in 2010, and the departure of former bassist Jeremy Davis, who left the band in 2015. After Laughter represents a complete departure from the usual pop punk and alternative rock sound of their previous releases. The album touches on themes of exhaustion, depression and anxiety, contrasting the upbeat and vibrant sound of the record.
Upon release, After Laughter received critical acclaim from music critics, who praised the band's new sonic direction and the 1980s new wave and synth-pop sound on the album. A dozen publications featured the album in their year-end lists, including Billboard and Rolling Stone.
