Rule the World: The Greatest Hits is a greatest hits album by English pop/rock band Tears for Fears, released in 2017 by Virgin EMI Records. The compilation contains fourteen top 40 singles, taken from each of the band's first six studio albums, and two new songs: "Stay" and "I Love You but I'm Lost". The latter was released as a digital single on 13 October 2017.
The album peaked at No. 12 in the UK, becoming the band's sixth UK top 20 album, and has been certified Silver by the British Phonographic Industry for combined units and sales in excess of 60,000 copies. A UK and European tour called the Rule the World Live 2018 was scheduled to begin in April 2018, but was postponed to 2019 due to "unforeseen health concerns".

Dido will tour in support of the album from May 2019, making it her first world tour in 15 years.

40 Trips Around the Sun is a greatest hits album by American rock band Toto, released on February 9, 2018. The album was released in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of Toto's self-titled debut album.
40 Trips Around the Sun contains 14 tracks from 1978 to 1993, and three previously unreleased recordings. "Spanish Sea" was recorded during the sessions for Isolation, and was re-written with a new chorus. Steve Lukather said of the song: "Thanks to modern tech we were able to play once again with not only our 20 something selves but with our dear brothers Jeff and Mike Porcaro reminding us just how deep their groove was. Bittersweet... Many stories, laughs and a few tears on this one". "Alone" is a newly written song by Toto members David Paich, Steve Lukather, Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams, while "Struck by Lightning" was previously unreleased.
Begin Again is the seventh studio album by American singer-songwriter Norah Jones, released through Blue Note Records on April 12, 2019. The album has also been called a compilation of singles Jones recorded from 2018 to 2019, and includes collaborations with Jeff Tweedy and Thomas Bartlett. Jones will tour Australia and the US in support of the album.

Ahead of the album release, two additional songs were made available on streaming services: "Drink" on May 8, 2019, and "The Age of Anxiety" on May 31, 2019. The single "Work of Art" was cut from the standard edition of the album and moved to the deluxe edition.

Diamonds is a greatest hits album by British singer-songwriter Elton John spanning his biggest hits from 1970 to 2016. The album was released on 10 November 2017. It was released in a 2-CD version, a 3-CD deluxe box set and a 2-LP vinyl version.
It is the first Elton John career-spanning compilation released since Rocket Man: The Definitive Hits in 2007. It was released to commemorate the 50 years of John's work with lyricist Bernie Taupin, since 1967. Although the initial year of the collaboration has been 1967, the oldest hit in the album is "Your Song", from the album Elton John, released in 1970. The limited edition box set version of Diamonds contains a 72-page hardback book containing annotations for the stories behind each track plus a set of five postcards of illustrations of Elton John by contemporary artist Richard Kilroy.
For the Many
For the Many is the twentieth studio album by English reggae band UB40. It was released on 15 March 2019 on the Shoestring record label. The album cover was designed by the band's saxophonist Brian Travers and depicts a silhouette of tower blocks, following the 2017 Grenfell Tower fire. The album's name has been associated with the Labour Party and its leader Jeremy Corbyn's use of the slogan "For the many, not the few". Travers commented on the connection in an article published in a Birmingham Live article, stating, "We're all socialists and Labour supporters".
For the Many is the band's first album of original material to feature vocalist Duncan Campbell and drummer Jimmy Brown said in an Anti-music interview, "It's our first original album with Duncan, and a true reflection of where the band are at right now. It gave us an opportunity to go back to our roots and draw on the 1970s-style reggae that inspired us to be in a band in the first place." A limited edition 2-CD version of the album was also released, featuring the standard album and a second CD of dub mixes of the album's tracks.
The album peaked at #29 on the official U.K. album charts.
Happy Xmas is the first Christmas album by Eric Clapton, his 24nd studio album, released on 12 October 2018. It includes 13 covers of Christmas-themed songs, both well-known and relatively obscure ones, arranged in a predominantly blues style, and one new composition by Clapton and producer Simon Climie.

Ayọ is the fifth studio album by Nigerian-German singer–songwriter Ayọ. The self-titled 14 track album was released on 6 October 2017 on CD, vinyl and as a MP3 download.
In an interview the singer explains the reason why she took the unusual step to name not her first but her fifth album after herself: "My previous records were me, but this record is all of me. It's like a new beginning where I can truly be myself for the first time without having to explain my mission, or myself." The music on the new album aims to blend folk reggae, pop and hip-hop with soul-infused vibes.
The first single from the album, "I'm a Fool", was released in June 2017. The second single "Paname" was released in September 2017. The song was named after the gypsy name for Paris. For both singles a music video was published.
The album was written over the last three to four years during a time of great personal and career changes. The songs were recorded in Brooklyn, New York in the singer's apartment on her laptop or even on her phone.
