Le Kov is the second studio album by Welsh singer-songwriter Gwenno. It was released on 2 March 2018 on Heavenly Recordings. The first single from the album is "Tir Ha Mor". Heavenly Recordings claim Gwenno felt a duty to make her second album entirely in Cornish as a record of the living language.
The songs on Le Kov are written and composed by Gwenno Saunders with help from Rhys Edwards, and features guest vocalist Gruff Rhys on the song "Daromres Y'n Howl". The album also features drum engineering by Gorwel Owen. Gorwel Owen and Gruff Rhys are both members of Super Furry Animals.

While recorded by Duncan in the same bedroom studio as his previous album, Architect, as well as having the same baroque pop sound, The Midnight Sun has a more polished sound due to Duncan upgrading his studio, contains more electronic music elements, is more consistent stylistically, and has a darker tone and atmosphere inspired by Rod Serling's television The Twilight Zone. Released in October 2016 by FatCat Records, it landed at number 28 on the Scottish Albums Chart, was well-received by critics and was a shortlist nominee for the Scottish Album of the Year Award.

Open Here is the seventh studio album by the English rock band Field Music. It was released by Memphis Industries on 2 February 2018. The album combines elements of alternative rock and chamber pop, and includes a wider range of musical instruments than past Field Music albums, predominantly featuring flutes, horns, and string instruments. The band attempted to create a unique instrumental combination for each song; Field Music's David and Peter Brewis felt more confident about expanding the range of instruments on the album after having made a film soundtrack with an orchestra just before the recording of Open Here began.
Open Here is more overtly political in its themes than Field Music's previous albums, with many of the songs inspired by David and Peter Brewis' frustration with the result of the Brexit referendum vote. Songs like "Goodbye to the Country" and "Count It Up", the latter of which focuses on societal privileges enjoyed by white members of the middle- and upper-class, directly address Brexit; David Brewis described them as "definitely the angriest songs I have ever written".
The Divine Comedy
Office Politics is the twelfth studio album by The Divine Comedy. It was released on 7 June 2019. It is a concept album concerning the workplace, and the ever-growing role machines play in it. The deluxe edition of the album features a bonus disc of Neil Hannon's original piano demos for his songs for Royal National Theatre's 2007 musical adaption of Swallows and Amazons.
Singer and songwriter Neil Hannon said that the use of marimba was inspired by bands such as Blondie on their single "The Tide Is High" and Siouxsie Sioux's second band The Creatures. Hannon also cited the tribal drums of early Adam Ant as one of the other references.
At Metacritic, which assigns a normalised rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the album received an average score of 77, based on 7 reviews, indicating "generally good reviews."
