All tracks were written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black and told the story of an English girl who has emigrated to the United States and embarks on a succession of romances. The music later formed the first half of a stage show called Song and Dance, in which Webb also starred.

Modern Priscilla is the title of Cilla Black's tenth solo studio album and her last to be completed before the end of her 15-year contract with the EMI group. The release of this album with its two singles completed the long-term partnership with the recording giant.
For her final project EMI drafted in producer Mike Hurst who at the time was producing the successful Rock 'n' Roll-revival group Showaddywaddy. Hurst initially was drafted in to produce a recording session for Black's standalone single release "I Wanted to Call It Off". The disco tinged single from July 1977 was a sign of things to come as for the album project Hurst further exploited this genre. The album notably featured three songs by songwriters Dominic Bugatti and Frank Musker who had written "Woman in Love" for The Three Degrees and " Married Men" for Bonnie Tyler. The latter song was also recorded by Bette Midler.

Shirley Bassey Sings The Songs Of Andrew Lloyd Webber
Sings the Songs of Andrew Lloyd Webber is a studio album by Shirley Bassey, released in 1993.
This album saw Bassey briefly return to her old label EMI; the album was issued by EMI on the Music For Pleasure Premier label. All songs on this album are from the pen of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber. This is the first, and to date the only Songbook album that Bassey has recorded and released. In her early recording career she had recorded many songs from the Great American Songbook, but unlike Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, and many other artists, she had never recorded a complete album of songs by one composer. The songs on the album are all taken from the popular musicals of Andrew Lloyd Webber, that he wrote with various lyricists. The oldest song found on the album is from the 1971 musical Jesus Christ Superstar which originally opened on Broadway in October of that year. Bringing it up to date the album also includes two songs from Sunset Boulevard which had recently premiered on July 12, 1993 in London's West End.

The Essential Barbra Streisand
The Essential Barbra Streisand is the fifth greatest hits album by American singer Barbra Streisand, released on January 29, 2002, by Columbia Records. The compilation features 38 songs from Streisand's catalog, in addition to two previously unreleased tracks. It includes material from 26 of the singer's albums and was described as a collection of, mainly, her pop songs. A reissued version of the compilation was distributed by Columbia and Legacy Recordings in 2008 and includes a bonus disk featuring nine additional songs from Streisand's discography.
Critically, the album was noted for being a comprehensive and complete view of her discography, unlike her previous greatest hits releases. It topped the charts in Ireland, Scotland, and the United Kingdom, and peaked at number 15 on the Billboard 200 in the United States. The Essential Barbra Streisand also reached the top ten in several countries and was included on four year-end lists. The album has since been certified Platinum in Australia, Europe, New Zealand, Spain, and the United States, and multi-platinum in the United Kingdom.
Calamity Jane was the name of a 10" LP album, released by Columbia Records on November 9, 1953, of songs sung by Doris Day and Howard Keel from the movie of the same name. In the UK, the album was also released as a 10" minigroove album by Philips Records, catalogue number BBR8104.
One of the tracks on this album, "Secret Love," was also released as a single and became a major hit, reaching #1 on all charts. The album itself reached #2 on the Billboard magazine album charts.
The album was combined with Day's 1951 album, I'll See You in My Dreams, on a compact disc, issued on June 12, 2001, by Collectables Records.
