hard to read in digital form, and the auto renew is inexcusable I gave up reading Backpacker on the Nexus 7 after 1 or 2 issues because it's not formatted for the new interface. Then I was surprised a year later with a auto renewing subscription. If they had a app similar to the NyTimes one I'd buy it, but this magazine thing is pretty shoddy
Adventurous read GET THE ACTUAL MAGAZINE!! All these complaints about the app... We'll guess what, a lot of apps aren't that great. It's always fun to see the pics people submit on their Adventures, gives you great places to want to travel yourself with details of how difficult a trek it will be, miles, days/nights. Great simple tips to keep in mind, and always reading about the latest and greatest gear is cool too. I've been a subscriber to their magazine for two years now and I have no hesitation of resubscribing.
You're kidding right? Wow, I get to pay double for an inferior product? Gee, sign me up----NOT!!! Wish I could give 0 stars, just to show how I REALLY feel!!!
This is a great magazine! I now have a paper subscription to it and wish it was possible to purchase back issues in paper format.. I hate the fact that you cannot download magazines and books that you buy here on google.
Great Magazine. I really like this magazine and the helpful articles. It's nice to see other possible hiking destination and stories, even if they're places I won't be going. I don't mind the ads since I actually am interested in seeing what new products are out there. Now, if we only we could get a rock climbing magazine on Google Play in Canada...
Good articles but costly For the same price you can purchase the magazines delivered to your home address and read online. They've also significantly increase their number of advertisements cutting down on quality content. The content they do have though is still good.
