Barrel scraping A good conversion to electronic format. Some double page spreads have a noticeable join and some left hand pages seem a little cropped. The text can be quite small but the text mode works quite well. The only real downside is the editorial content. Quite often it seems like the editors are scraping the bottom of the barrel but the content is quite rounded. For example there are articles on things like nutrition, which isn't really what I'm looking for. Occasionally there is a real nugget that can serve for future reference but they are few and far between. Compared to the print version, there are none of the freebies, which are typically awful anyway. Also Android users don't get the free electronic copy with a subscription to the paper copy that iPad users can get but there is a reasonable price drop. A decent magazine but can leave me feeling dissatisfied.
Enjoyable but wheres the othee issues? Is there any plans to update the cycling active issues on android? As far as I can see the January print edition has been available in shops for nearly a month and the February edition is released tomorrow. So why is only the December edition available?
Im not sure How come if i subscribe i can pay monthly at 2.99 or a one off payment of 29.99? Is that for 13 issiues? The reson i ask is that zinio sell the mag for 48.32 while the printed verson is 46.68! Cold someone please tell me if the play price is right?
Far far to dear needa far better insentive to move todigital Get us hooked before ripping the consumer off!!!
The best cycling mag A a great magazine. I went digital as I was having trouble reading the printed copies and to save space. The quality is superb and I have no trouble dowloading or reading. On my HTC mobile the magazine shows in a different format to my Samsung tablet. On the former to read a page you scroll down whereas on the tablet the page shows as if you were reading a magazine. It would be nice if you could switch between the two formats.
Too expensive Seriously 3.99 for one issue ? I'll pass thanks I'd rather buy the print version, if you want to encourage people to try digital magazines this is not the way to entice them in.
