Ugh - The real digital problem So lots of people unhappy, From my point of view the only valid ones are price, and speed. It DOES cost less to get me a digital copy, and it should be here faster. Why can I pickup the next issue locally before it shows up on my subscribed device? I'm not saying the digital copy needs to be out right off the qa desk, but it could be, so that's what makes it so annoying that it is sent to press, printed a million times and trucked all over the country before I have it digitally. Bottom line, if these mags wanted to go digital this stuff wouldn't happen. Digital scares them. If they go digital and ad revenue drops they are done. Food Network might be ok because they still have tv, but most mag publishers die. Here's the real reason....Paper copies are better for everyone. Why? I buy it read it, and give it to a friend. Or perhaps it is in the bathroom, and a friend reads it. One purchase many uses. Now from the mags point of view. Only one copy sold, but Multiple people saw the ads. Advertisers love it. They keep putting ads in mags. Advertisements are what really pays for the whole show. Advertisers want as many views as possible and digital doesn't do that.
I'm Sold On It! I've been debating on getting a Magazine subscription through the Play store. I broke down today & I must say that I enjoy the Food Magazine on my Nexus 7. You still have to zoom in on the articles you want to read, but I find myself actually reading more into detail this way than with a standard print version. Think of it as more of a focus mode. Of course there are ads, but not weird Internet intruding ads(viagra..etc.) It's the same ads you would find in the print versions. I actually like the ads..now I know Kohl's sells Food network branded kitchenware and Recipes that include Bailey liquor. The December version included all of the alternate print "front" covers as well as the ads in the beginning. I found this as an added bonus rather than just picking one front cover. The recipes are great and informative. I would recommend this magazine to anyone who loves food, recipes, Food Network, and the print version.

Excellent 5 star Magazine Google Nexus 7 I purchased this magazine when it was $0.99 and it was a great purchase. I highly recommend this magazine. There are many recipes for you to try. I love the vibrant colors that pop out at you. I find myself reviewing the magazine over and over again. Thanks for the price drop to $0.99 for that period of time. I would pay up to $1.99 for it. I think that's a decent price.
It is what it is I'm not upset with Food Network's decision on cancelling Paula Deen's shows. I was a huge fan of hers. I watched her show faithfully and I purchased her cookware and cookbooks. As an African American, I was shocked and appalled at the racial slur she used. People in the public eye are responsible for the things they say. Words are very powerful and so were her sponsors. She has to pay up like everyone else. I don't believe Paula is a racist I do believe she needs to take responsibility for her words spoken
Wow! Surprised to hear that I absolutely love this magazine! Of course a few changes could be made with linking the subscriptions. But comments like what came from Lloyd we don't want to hear from people like you GOOD EATS!
