The digital subscription isn't updated for at least a week until after the new issue is being sold in the shops, often longer. If you actually want to read articles when they're new, never mind get the free gifts that are always reserved for print copies only, buy a different magazine.
I believe I bought a subscription for the magazine which I would love to read it on the site doesn't say what version it is that I bought but it seems like only UK addition is only for Apple devices. Since I have an android. This app does not work only for US version for android. I find the UK version is a lot better. However, it's very disappointing when you can't read the magazine on an android device, which in fact I think I just waste my money or maybe I don't understand how to use it been trying to log on my account for about two hours now is kind of frustrating.
Fantastic Mag! Having been a long time subscriber to PCGamer, being able to download and subscribe directly through google is amazingly convenient. Price per Issue is well under half what it would be to buy the paper version, and while I sometimes have problems reading their long, multi-column articles on a smaller screen, the included text only option makes this much easier. For comparison, I have a 7 inch tablet, and while I imagine reading on a 10 inch is similar to reading the paper magazine, it can sometimes be awkward to view several full columns of text at once. With the text only version, I can read the articles themselves as I might a book, then switch back to normal view and enjoy the lush screenshots. My only question would be if subscribing to this through google includes you for the gift-ageddon bonuses. It would not be enough to stop me subscribing through this service, but it would be a very nice inclusion all the same.
Still can't access the content there is no option for existing subscribers. I paid over a week ago and no one replies to my emails. It's outright theft.
Meh They failed to provide me with the code for the free digital download of a game that was advertised as being included with the subscription. Cancelled in protest, the magazine is okay (not great), but nothing in there that you can't find online on the millions of tech news web sites.
Great mag Have loved PC Gamer for years but the digital option is what got me to subscribe. Havent a bad thing to say about the magazine, the reviews are interesting, insightful & accurate. That said, the hassle of having to email Giftaggedon every month to beg for my free gifts is a pain and enough to make the monetary saving negligible. Additionally for the first time, this month the physical issue has been available since 18th December. It's now the 20th and still no sign of my download- can PCG or Google explain?
