Bargain I read sfx for years and then moved to America and was shocked that it's a month out of date and $14. But digital is $4 and I get it the day of. No contest really. Still a great magazine. Even with all the entertainment blogs floating around now.
Subscription... What is the point in subscribing, I didn't get Decembers issue and there was no information about me being unsubscribed. Really annoyed. Reducing my stars
Great reading Been reading paper edition of SFX since issue 34 for about 12 years then stopped, thought I'd give it another look and try the digi-mag version and it's great! Enjoying getting back into it after being 'out of touch' with the media of film, books and comics info for so long. Plenty of editorial not just huge pics like some other mags - well worth the money.
Misleading pricing. I took out a subscription on the 2nd April at a price of £13.99 per year. Got a confirmation email saying I would be charged the £13.99 on the 2nd May. Just had a look at my subscription details on the Newsstand app and it says I will be charged £27.99 on the 2nd May. This is not what I signed up to. Cancelled the subscription and will avoid Future Publications magazines going forward.
Affordable again! Had to sacrifice buying SFX a few years ago when I stopped working (in more ways than one) but missed it a lot. Not knowing what was going on film, TV and bookwise was torture. £2.49 a month for my SF fix ... tempting ... or should I do the honourable thing and cancel when I've read the freebie?
A great read if you're a sci-fi/fantasy fan Gotta admit that I first started reading this was because I saw Peter Capaldi on the cover. But now I'm subscribed to the magazine. Great value for such a content.
