App and print-subscriber options broken UPDATE2: after getting the message that my subscription was being processed i went to my Play magazine subscriptions and the newest copy was downloading. YAY! I still am giving it a 'BELOW AVERAGE' rating for the screwy process. I LOVE the magazine itself, and the in-app magazine is great! UPDATE1: now when i hit 'subscribe' I get a message that my subscription is being processed. I have no idea what to expect. --ORIGINAL REVIEW--- I have been trying via both website and play store to get access to the digital copy. I have tried via my account number and my address. On the website i created an account including password, and was directed to download the app. Head for the play store, have to start again with account numbers as there is nowhere to login with info i set up. Tried every way possible on the app... I am told there is an error, try again later.
This old House App I subscribe and receive the magazine in the mail. I wanted to try the app to have on my tablet. This app said it was free but wanted my credit card info. NO WAY as others on here have posted you don't need that info you have my info already. Too many credit cards get stolen this app is just another way to possibly get get my info into the wrong hands!! You need to rethink this in your technical department!!!!!!
Seriously? Google Play blows! Spent several hours trying to get this to work and now I don't even have the FREE option! Had it yestrday but GP would accept my validation info and then time out on the connection! Extremely frustrating. I'm no Apple fan, but at least I've never had this kind of trouble with iTunes!!!
Needs work. Crashes constantly. I had it on my first gen iPad but when I sold the iPad and moved to Android full time I was pleased to find it here. It is very difficult to read it here though due to Newsstand constantly crashing. I'm glad I still get a paper backup copy because otherwise I'd never be able to finish the articles I start reading here.
Can I have your credit card?? False advertising! We paid for our subscription, yet this app will not work unless you enter your credit card information. It's not worth the risk or the effort!
$ I should not have to enter a credit card account when I've already paid my subscription!! As others have said..."not gonna happen" on this site... Too many unknowns. Please fix this!!
