Parmesan is not suitable for vegetarians!! While the few pages of information before the recipes started were quite interesting the ingredient lists for each meal were a bit extravagant. I felt some of the meals could of been simplified to save money on groceries. I don't think the majority of these meals are practical for everyday cooking at all. A lot of the ingredients I'd never heard of and I consider myself to be a bit if a foodie, possibly this is because I'm from the UK? Also very surprised they listed Parmesan as an ingredient in at least 3 of the recipes! Parmesan is not a vegetarian cheese and legally has to be made with meat to be able to be called Parmesan...I know it can easily substitute it with a vegetarian alternative but I find it strange a magazine with vegetarian in the title didn't know this.
Took way too long to load I installed this app and subscribed, and then had to install Google Play's magazine app in order to read the current issue. I had to delete every single app (except these and the native apps) from my phone to have enough room for ONE issue of this magazine! Then when I finally got it to install the issue, it took over 15 minutes to load the first 4 pages. UGH! Until they make these magazines a lot smaller in size, this is a huge waste of time. Unsubscribed and uninstalled.
too expensive... For the the fact that they don't print the copy the cost should be cheap, yet I was able to get a 1 year 9 issue paper magazine subscribtion of veg. time for $6.00 total. That's $1 more than google play charges for 1 issues. My preference would have been to go green and get the digital issue but when they try to screw people over with rates I'm not having it.
Great magazine Really sad to not be able to get this on my tablet. :(
Not the Vegetarian Times I remember So many ads and too many of the recipes use packaged/processed items. Rather than include frozen Morningstar Farms xxx, how about teaching the reader to make a similar item from scratch?? Paid for an entire year and no option to cancel for partial refund.
Great reference Had this magazine for years.Though I stopped eating soy & gluten over the years so I don't find a ton of recipes, this is still one of many great veg friendly magazines
