A trusted mag for years I've been a reader of Maximum PC since the days when they were known as boot. I can say I have read every issue since their inception, and though I may not have always agreed with their picks and thoughts, I've always understood where they were coming from and I continually learn from them. This is, has been, and continues to be my go to source for news and advice.
Well worth the 2 Bucks Was alil hesitant on digi magizines; so I opted for the per issue deal. I must say I am very glad I did an they offer such a deal. Great articles, clear writing; perfect for a newbie or a pro.
Not just a great magazine- a great format, too! I enjoy this magazine a lot. It's informative, entertaining, and well-written. I've contemplated getting a paper subscription for a while, but never got around to it because I have a tendency to lose magazines before I've even read them. This is a perfect compromise. The magazine is in its original design when downloaded, but you can click the magical "read text" option and suddenly it's in an easy-on-the-eyes format that is enjoyable to read. You don't need to keep zooming and scrolling, it's in a great article format. Definitely a great addition to my collection. I would definitely recommend this magazine AND format to my friends.
Great format - But I wish I could keep 'em The format is great. Reading on a computer is a breeze and the Newsstand Android app is great. I only wish that I could keep the issues. To be honest... I rarely refer to old issues in the future. Tech moves so fast that a lot of the information becomes irrelevant in under a year. When I do want to keep parts, I just use the Windows Snipping Tool and make JPEGs out of certain pages. You might even print screen it (Prt Scr) into paint or Photoshop. Problem Solved! At $11/year. I cannot complain. Canadians pay a lot for the paper edition.
Good mag; great price! Previously I was reader of Custom PC magazine, but the e-subscription is overpriced, so I thought I'd switch to Maximum PC. Pros: Brilliant value-for-money subscription prices. Cons: I don't see why the publisher needs my name, email, and postal address. There should be an opt-out option; this is an e-magazine subscription after all.
Great PC magazine with amazing reviews. This publication is great for those PC builders interested in new product reviews with side by side comparisons with other competitor products. I currently don't have a subscription but that will change soon as I am about to start my next build. Love this magazine and HIGHLY recommend.
