It’s a question as old as time itself: which is better, the zombie or the unicorn? This all-original anthology edited by Holly Black (Team Unicorn) and Justine Larbalestier (Team Zombie) makes strong arguments for both sides in the form of spectacular short stories. Half of the stories portray the strengths—for good and evil—of unicorns, and half show the good (and really, really badass) side of zombies. Contributors include many bestselling authors, including Cassandra Clare, Libba Bray, Maureen Johnson, Meg Cabot, Scott Westerfeld, and Margo Lanagan.
This anthology will have everyone asking: Team Zombie or Team Unicorn?
It wasn’t Max Spencer’s idea to fight robots, lead an army, or save the world—it just so happens that he’s the only living person who can read the most fantastical book ever written: The Codex of Infinite Knowability. The Codex is no ordinary book, and among other things, it describes a unicorn named Princess the Destroyer.
Princess the Destroyer is not an average unicorn. She loves nothing more than hunting down, killing, and eating other creatures. After all, what’s the point of having a sharp horn on your forehead if you don’t use it for destructive purposes? And right now Princess has a very definite purpose: Find Max and retrieve the lost Codex for an evil sorcerer and his mysterious master. If she can do that, she’s been promised an all-the-humans-you-can-eat buffet in Texas.
Stuck in another world and with a carnivorous unicorn on his trail, Max must find the courage to save himself, his friends, and, oh yeah…the entire human race.
Kirkus raves: "...its appealing protagonist and high personal stakes provide an excellent read for young fantasy fans."
Twelve-year-old Andy returns to Oomaldee and finds he must locate unicorns in the land and retrieve a unicorn horn as the next ingredient to break the curse that plagues the land. He and his company embark upon this unicorn quest only to have a seductive voice tempt him to surrender the unicorn horn. What will he do?

Uni is just like all the other unicorns . . . except for one thing: she believes that little girls are REAL. This magical story by Amy Krouse Rosenthal (author of I Wish You More) illuminates Uni’s not-so-fantastical dream and celebrates the sparkle of believing.
Uni the unicorn is told there’s no such thing as little girls! But no matter what the grown-up unicorns say, Uni believes that little girls are REAL. Somewhere there must be a smart, strong, wonderful, magical little girl waiting to be best friends. In fact, far away (but not too far away), a real little girl believes there is a unicorn waiting for her, too. This magical story of friendship reminds believers and nonbelievers alike that sometimes wishes really can come true.
Sparkle the unicorn has gone missing from the town's medieval festival. Did third-grade diva Destiny Delgado or the mischievous Toby Leo steal Sparkle? Or did the wand Nancy bought from the fortune-teller make Sparkle disappear? Once again it's up to Nancy, Bess, and George to look for clues and find the culprit. Follow the Clue Crew as they solve this magical mystery!

Wolfmother are here to entertain an expectant pack of music fans hungry for rock and salivating for roll. Up for the first course were Band Of Skulls, and the Southampton trio serve up three Michelin Stars. Their sound is brash, overwhelming and bounces off the walls of the London Coronet, wrapping the audience in a bubbling cocoon of sound. If none of the audience knew the musical coupling of the Kills-esque male/female singers before, they most definitely made sure they did after. After half an hour of thumping basslines and crashing riffs, the pulsing audience were well and truly warmed up.
