Season 4 episodes (10)

1 Chapter One: Betrayal
12/19/21
With the casino gone and her friendship with Quiet Ann in tatters, Desna is prepared to return to her roots as a money laundering nail mogul. But when Palmetto starts to undergo gentrification, the salon’s rent is tripled. Unwilling to give up on her American Dream, Desna decides to sell opiates herself, propelling her further into a world of criminality and setting her up as Uncle Daddy’s rival. When she and her crew steal Uncle Daddy’s supply of pills, a war between the two drug dealers is ignited, starting Desna down the road to becoming a true gangster. The conflict is quickly escalated when Quiet Ann, unable to find a job and still blaming Desna for her wife’s death, joins Uncle Daddy’s operation. Meanwhile, Dean’s search for his true calling leads him to launch a strip Q&A on Instagram, and Polly torches her former lover Joe’s car in a bid for closure.
2 Chapter Two: Vengeance
12/19/21
In order to claim her American Dream, Desna devises a plan to sell Oxy hidden in nail polish bottles to a higher-class clientele, and soon finds herself slinging pills to yuppies at a local wellness expo – where she is quickly sabotaged by Uncle Daddy and Quiet Ann, escalating the drug war. As the conflict between the two sides heats up, Uncle Daddy demands that Bryce put pressure on Jenn to quit Desna’s crew, but Jenn refuses and the pair must reach a truce to save their marriage. Meanwhile, Polly meets the elderly, rich Baron von Reichler (when she attempts to scam him by stepping in front of his Rolls-Royce. Virginia hires a new nail artisan, Georgia, a stripper who bears shocking similarities to herself, and whom she believes she can save from the pole. Later, while hooking up with her new lover, Tony the delivery guy, Desna hatches her next scheme: selling her pills via multi-level marketing.
3 Chapter Three: Ambition
12/26/21
Desna launches Claws Up, her new multi-level Oxy sales operation, which will use some of her most loyal (and somewhat desperate) clients as dealers and recruiters. Soon, Desna’s control issues are on full display as she and Jenn handle bumps in the new venture in different ways, breeding tension in their friendship. Similarly, Virginia must confront the habits she’s learned from Desna as she micromanages Georgia through her first days at the salon. Bryce has landed a supply of fentanyl patches and found a buyer, a plan which goes terribly wrong and moves him further out of Uncle Daddy’s favor. Polly’s con on the Baron becomes more complicated when she learns he is terminally ill but also meets his overbearing, suspicious daughter. When Uncle Daddy catches Dr. Ken working for Desna, he kidnaps Ken in a bid to scare him into submission. But Ken escapes and gives Uncle Daddy and Desna an ultimatum: He’s allowed to work for both of them or he snitches.
4 Chapter Four: Loyalty
12/26/21
Claws Up is a success and, despite mounting tension with Jenn, Desna feels on top of the world– until it’s discovered someone is stealing and reselling their pills under a different label. After a tense meeting with Quiet Ann, the crew discovers the culprit is Bambi, the top dealer at Claws Up. Desna must confront her with irreversible and deadly consequences, propelling her further down the path toward gangsterdom. Uncle Daddy and Quiet Ann have hired Ann’s former prison softball team as their new stable of fentanyl dealers, pushing Bryce further out to the periphery. Meanwhile, Polly thinks she’s in for a sexual adventure with the Baron and his elderly friend. Instead, Polly uses her supply of Oxy to help the dying woman pass away peacefully. Dean’s connection with Eve helps him discover that his true calling is midwifery. Jenn and Bryce discover how far they’ve gone, when they find themselves at the police station about to lose their children to social services.
5 Chapter Five: Comeuppance
1/2/22
Jenn and Bryce wrestle with the reality that their criminal behavior has caused them to lose custody of their children. As two low-income, ex-cons, the system is biased against them. Desna, feeling partly responsible, offers Jenn and Bryce the use of her condo. After Uncle Daddy is awarded custody of the kids and then promptly misplaces them, the girls go to a foster home. Jenn and Bryce commit a spur-of-the-moment kidnapping. When the Hussers turn themselves in, they are met by a guilt-ridden Uncle Daddy and Quiet Ann. They have arranged for the girls to go to Jenn’s ex, EJ and for Uncle Daddy to take the fall for the child abduction. The former prison softball players demand more money for having to deal fentanyl in unsafe locations, finally coming around when Uncle Daddy takes a stray bullet to the buttock while visiting Cherry’s territory. Virginia spills the details about Bambi’s murder to Georgia, and Desna opens up to Tony about all of her illegal dealings.
6 Chapter Six: Greed
1/9/22
Now officially raking in more money than she can launder, Desna opens up a second nail salon. But when a rival salon owner demands a monthly payoff, Desna takes drastic measures, securing her place as a hardened gangster. In the midst of this, Uncle Daddy has a heart attack and begins having visions of his dead wife, Juanda, who tells him he needs an heir he can mold into his own image, thus launching an obsession with Quiet Ann’s unborn child. To continue expanding her empire, Desna snakes a lucrative pill deal out from under Uncle Daddy’s nose, leading him to beat up her dealers in retaliation. Meanwhile, as Jenn’s Oxy addiction spirals out of control, she forms a suspiciously close bond with Desna’s lover, Tony. After the Baron gifts Polly with a luxury RV so she can begin her new journey as a “death doula,” a hair-raising experience leads him to propose marriage.
7 Chapter Seven: Ascension
1/16/22
With all of her dealers abandoning Claws Up as a result of Uncle Daddy’s beatings, Desna vows to dismantle his organization from the inside out. In a series of clever and opportunistic moves, Desna convinces Dr. Ken and Bryce to desert Uncle Daddy. When Bryce discovers that Uncle Daddy is planning on passing him over as heir, he takes drastic action against Quiet Ann. Polly marries the Baron, who dies during their wedding night – just before Polly can reveal that she isn’t a wealthy socialite. Jenn’s worsening Oxy addiction remains a secret, while her questionable friendship with Tony is discovered by both Desna and Bryce, threatening to destroy both relationships. Virginia, acting on Desna’s orders, kills Georgia in order to keep the crew’s secrets and gain Desna’s respect. Dr. Ken realizes that he can’t hold Selena back with a long-distance relationship and reluctantly lets her go. Desna learns that Tony is not at all who she thought he was.
8 Chapter Eight: Reckoning
1/23/22
After realizing Tony is an undercover DEA agent, Desna must rally her crew to avoid being taken down by the feds. But when Jenn ODs, the crew begins to uncover buried truths that threaten to unravel their tight-knit bonds. Desna must confront the ugly consequences of her rise to power. As things begin to look up for Desna and Quiet Ann’s friendship, Desna reveals to Ann that Tony is DEA. Ann storms off, contacts Tony and offers to become an informant in exchange for immunity. Meanwhile, newly widowed Polly attends a reading of the Baron’s will where she learns the Baron knew she was a con artist, and that he would rather give his money to a hard-working grifter than to his spoiled children. When Eve becomes pregnant with Dean’s child, the couple decides they want to become parents. Ken begins to realize that he needs to learn how to be alone. Having recovered from her OD, Jenn teams up with Virginia and the two decide to forge a path ahead, free of Desna.
9 Chapter Nine: Wrath
1/30/22
With the crew in shambles and the threat of the DEA looming, Desna plots an exit strategy for herself and her girls, which will only work if she can reunite them all. However, after Bryce kills Tony in a jealous rage and then confesses to Uncle Daddy, Desna’s plans are accelerated. Seeing what a mess her actions have created, Desna delivers a sincere apology to her friends, and the women come together to help frame Uncle Daddy for Tony’s murder – all except Quiet Ann, who is now secretly working as an informant for the DEA. However, while she’s executing her plan, Uncle Daddy catches Desna, and the two find themselves in a deadly standoff. Just when it seems Uncle Daddy is about to take Desna out, she steps up and ends their rivalry for good in a single shot.
10 Chapter Ten: Mercy
2/6/22
The series comes to an explosive close as Desna and her crew prepare to escape from Palmetto. But before she can go, Desna must jump through hoops to make sure she has all of her girls with her. Finally, with the feds distracted by a fake drug buy orchestrated by Desna, our gangster queen of Palmetto has her final showdown with her nemesis, Quiet Ann. After some harsh words are exchanged, Desna shoots Ann dead and then leaves with her crew on a boat bound for Havana…which explodes just as it reaches open water. However, in a truly Clawsian twist, we find the crew (including Ann!) safely at their destination. In a heartfelt message to her brother Dean, still living his life back home, Desna explains how she and Quiet Ann worked together to fool the feds and make their escape. Desna now realizes that the American Dream isn’t about money and power, but about having the love, support and loyalty of her friends and family.
