About this show

Jessica Biel stars as Cora, a young wife and mother who suddenly and inexplicably commits a violent crime while at a public beach with her husband and child. Cora does not deny responsibility but claims to have no idea why she did it. Why would this seemingly normal woman commit such a random and senseless act of violence? While the facts of the crime appear to be indisputable, Detective Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman) suspects that there is more to the case than meets the eye and begins to thoroughly examine Cora's past in search of an explanation.

Im half way through and love it. The character build in this is believable. Its an edgy slow burn that has you holding your breath sometimes and wanting to hit out at the injustices heaped upon this girl and those around her. I think its clever and I think about some of the scenes after I watch it instead of just moving on to something else.

Series 4. The perfect example of why you should stop when at the top. This is contrived, tired and at times laughably ridiculous. I found the characters annoying, the retired detective irritating and the plot felt pieced together with sellotape. Shame, the previous ones were much better.

I don’t understand why networks think viewers consider their series worth waiting around a week to see a single episode. Even though it may be good, I start watching other shows and sometimes forget all about it.
