Shining Vale: Season 1 episodes (8)

1 Casa De Phelps
3/6/22
Buying a 200-year-old house that was on the market for almost three years and sold for more than $250K below asking seemed like a good idea on paper, but Pat soon senses that the Phelps are not alone - especially when an old-fashioned-looking woman appears hovering outside their family room window. The family quickly learns why the agents were so motivated to sell the house for a fraction of the asking price. Seems a few details were glossed over, including a triple murder-suicide and a host of other atrocities they neglected to mention. But neither Terry nor the kids seem to notice that something is horribly wrong with the house; only Pat can see things move and hear the bumps in the night. She's also the only one who sees the spirit of the person who committed these murders: Rosemary (series star MIRA SORVINO), a Fifties housewife who may or may not be trying to take over Pat's body. Everyone has their demons, but for Pat Phelps, they may be real.
2 She Comes At Night
3/6/22
While Terry confronts a demon from his past, Pat finds a clue leading to the identity of the Fifties housewife who keeps appearing to her.
3 The Yellow Wallpaper
3/13/22
Dr. Berg (guest star JAMES M. CONNOR) helps ease Pat's nerves by telling her he thinks Rosemary (the spirit of the Fifties housewife Pat keeps seeing) is a creative device that Pat has conjured. He also prescribes Pat a heavy dose of clonazepam. The good news: Pat is extremely productive. The bad: she doesn't remember huge parts of her day. She also finds the source of the noise coming from under the house - a basement that was sealed off decades ago. Meanwhile, Terry's been working late with an attractive co-worker, Kathryn (guest star ALYSIA REINER) to try to land the New York Archdiocese as an investment client. But when they make their presentation, something goes horribly wrong, leading Terry to believe he's being sabotaged. Lastly, Gaynor's relationship with Ryan hits a bit of a speed bump, when she gets more exposed to his "churchiness," and Jake makes a horrific discovery when searching the backyard woods with his new AR device.
4 So Much Blood
3/20/22
Pat is writing the hell out of her new novel - the tale of a repressed housewife's sexual awakening in 1950s Connecticut. Of course, the star of the book - her muse Rosemary - only appears when Pat's on the right combination of alcohol, prescription pills and espresso! But her publisher is loving the new pages, so Pat's not too worried about her "process." Until the novel takes a sudden gory turn (seemingly against her will) and Pat's forced to confront Rosemary... and a messy part of her own past. Meanwhile, Terry makes the best out of his last day of forced "vacation" mandated by his boss, following his role in "Eat a Hot Dick-gate." After spending quality with his kids, his house, and Pat, Terry makes a decision about returning to work that will come back to haunt him. Lastly, Gaynor takes a new tack in trying to sleep with her boyfriend, and, in the process, meets an old lady who seems to know something about the house, while Jake finds something creepy in the woods.
5 The Squirrel Knew
3/27/22
Unable to convince Terry they have a ghost, Pat enlists the help of a local Wiccan to help get Rosemary to leave the house. But in doing so, she makes an error that may haunt her forever. Meanwhile, Terry's first week off from work gets off to a bad start when Pat discovers a horrifying secret he's been hiding from her. Meanwhile, a trip to Connecticut's wine country to meet a former workmate forces Terry to make a big decision. Lastly, Jake and Gaynor spend the long weekend with Pat's crazy mother, Joan (guest star JUDITH LIGHT) and her loveable Iraqi War vet boyfriend, Tommy (guest star WILSON RAMIREZ). Gaynor is furious, but winds up learning something that will change her perception of Pat forever.
6 Whispering Hope
4/3/22
With pressure mounting to finish her book, Pat calls on Rosemary for help. But the price is steep - and she'll have to make a deal with the devil. What's worse, she needs to ask her mother for help. Meanwhile, Terry, after a month of unemployment, is tackling things he's ever had to face - depression, a neck beard and a lack of purpose. With axe in hand, he sets out to fix the sagging fence which separates their property from Valerie's... with tragic results. Lastly, Gaynor decides to take the plunge and get baptized in an effort to further distance herself from her mom. And Jake reaches a previously unseen level of his VR game, unmasking the identity of the mysterious "Daisy."
7 Impertinent Questions
4/10/22
Pat is in the joyful stage of possession/opiate addiction, Pat's writing, has tons of energy, and lots of sex with Terry. It's everything she could want and more. The line between Pat and Rosemary blurs, however, when a housewarming party turns into a wild night of limited inhibitions. When Pat awakens to the dark side of her deal with Rosemary, it threatens to destroy her life and family forever. Meanwhile, Terry appreciates all of the "enthusiasm" Pat is suddenly bringing to the bedrooms (and living room, kitchen, behind the garage, etc.) as he begins his new job with Kathryn. But Terry's policy of having strong boundaries between work and home gets challenged in a big way when Pat invites Kathryn to the party. Lastly, Gaynor struggles with the fallout after she and Ryan cross a line during his mother's funeral. Then, Jake and Fred use a Ouija board to attempt contact with Daisy, but instead reach someone else from the house's past...
8 We Are Phelps
4/17/22
In the season finale, the shocking end of Pat's book is revealed, while the Phelps family fights for their souls - both together and individually!
