The jokey comedic undertone kind of sucks.. It's like they gave the characters the burn out profile and it's all a big joke. I like the old series better, more scary, Dramatic and mystery.. Obviously money milker, no wonder Anderson is done.. Grab the dough and run .. Duchovny same thing.. He couldn't believe it anymore

I have always and will always love this show. It's weird, sometimes goofy, most times unbelievable, but that's the point! I love the relationship between Mulder and Scully. They make great partners and friends. It's their bond and interactions with one another that keeps the viewers watching. The other characters such as Skinner and the Smoking Man are wonderful in adding to the long standing plot. I love the individual stories of the weekly episodes, and the running plot. Will the government ever actually be forced to reveal all its secrets? Probably not, but it's fun watching Scully and Mulder try.
