The story ultimately plays out in a very stupid way. There are a few great performances from Michael Gambon, Stanley Tucci etc but they can not save what becomes an increasingly ludicrous story.

A plot that slowly unwinds with larger than life characters. Not for the squeamish. There are some uncomfortable moments that require a bit of behind-the-cushion-security. It was difficult not to watch several episodes at a time as each programme had its own cliffhanger. Great cast, a mixture of high profile Brits and a solid Scando ensemble. Highly recommended.

This show is no ordinary murder mystery in a small town done many times over but an unsettling, intriguing, quite brilliant thriller. A mix of genres blended together quite beautifully with a fabulous cast and stunning cinematography to capture the wonderful Arctic landscape
