After DI Moynihan's sting operation, Nidge finds himself out in the cold. He travels to Spain to negotiate with exiled wholesale drugs supplier Terence May for a new shipment on tick. Terence is reluctant: Nidge has too many enemies, there are too many rats in the organisation. But Nidge assures him that he's not beaten yet and Terence agrees to back him… with conditions…

2 Episode 2

Nidge is back in business. He and Pauley shake off their habitual police surveillance and attend a secret meeting near Dublin zoo with Terence's haulier contact Brendan and arrangements are made for the first shipment under the new deal (next time Nidge is to provide his own driver). At the same time Pauley agrees with Nidge that, after the disastrous sitdown with Patrick, the traveller will have to be killed. Pauley agrees to do the job himself. But Patrick is expecting trouble and is ready for him: he and his crew set a pub car park ambush for Pauley who barely escapes with his life.

Fran is banged up in prison but he and Nidge both still conspire to have each other killed: Nidge presses Ado to recruit his brother Pottsie to try and get Fran – with bloody consequences; meanwhile Nidge intervenes as Dean tries to take out a contract on Fran's behalf. Elsewhere Elmo goes hands-on on Terence's first shipment of drugs, while Siobhan finds her dangerous drug fuelled double life is spiralling out of control as she is beginning to fall in love with Pauley.

4 Episode 4

10/27/14

Elmo sells the majority of the drugs shipment on and the operation is considered to be a success: Nidge's thoughts turn to the next deal. Having discovered that Nadine is having an affair with Scotty, Nidge - always alert to human weakness - hits on the idea of using Scotty as the driver for the next run. He also visits Noely Hughes and tells him about Fran desecrating his mother's grave, thus setting Noely off intending to try and kill Fran.

The aftermath of Pauley's death: a traumatised Siobhan manages to convince both Moynihan and Nidge that she was not responsible, but she has a more dangerous opponent to face: Terence May flies in from Spain to lay his nephew to rest and to find out what happened. Nidge, also under pressure from his benefactor, becomes more and more paranoid while an emboldened Siobhan forms a plan to bring him down once and for all.

6 Episode 6

11/10/14

Fran is armed and on the run and hunting Nidge to the death. Siobhan, in possession of the forensic evidence that could put Nidge away for life, reaches an unholy deal with Moynihan. Nidge, meanwhile, is summoned back to Spain where Terence May demands a horrific price for his continued support – an act that could secure the kingdom for Nidge, if he truly has the terrible will to see it through.

About this show

A contemporary series set in the Dublin underworld. Darren Tracey is on a flying visit from Spain to celebrate the release of his brother from prison. Tragedy strikes when his brother is assassinated. Darren is left to look after his sister - a single mum, who is deeply traumatised by their brother's death. Thrown back into the heart of gangland Dublin, Darren does a few 'jobs' for his old boss John Boy Power, played by the award-winning Aiden Gillen (The Wire; Identity). His sister''s sanity, the safety of her children and wanting a girl he can't have who's never stopped loving him complicate the journey to his ultimate goal: revenge.

This is the best show ever, why its not shown on regular tv, I've seen it 3 times but via Showbox, Highly recommend!

Why does it work out cheaper buying the first season separately than it does the full first season should work out the other way around

Second time watching all series and its even better now than when i first watched it. Absolutely brilliant
