I have enjoyed the various versions of Professor T, first the original Belgian one, then the German offshoot, and then this, but for the British version, I at first disliked it. I found the characters harsh and off-putting, and at least initially, the British Professor T had little of the idiosyncratic charm of the mainland European versions. I later retried it and found that I did like it, although it is not quite as fun and weird as the prior versions, it was still enjoyable.

Just watched premiere episode. So glad PBS Masterpiece doing this show in English.Great cast and I especially like the man playing Professor T as I liked him in Death in Paradise. I am a true anglophile.
