FYI: this Japanese version DOES have English subtitles! I couldn't find that info anywhere, but was grateful to find that there ARE subs. I always wanted to watch this show as a kid, and now that it's been revamped, it's the perfect opportunity! Classic Magical Girl fare, plus a good bit of camp thrown in for good measure. Visuals look very crisp and delightful in HD.

I love the real time combat. It really makes things more intense. The art was nice but the animation distracting. Venus 3D transformation was lovely. The writing was TELL not show which was disappointing. If they could flush out the writing, do more SHOW & tell, get some shonen style intense battles going on, and get the animation solid, this show would be amazing.

It's so good every chapter of the manga is an episode in this series unlike the original. The only thing I miss from the original series are the theme and ending song. but they have good ones here too.im trying my best to read the manga faster so I can Catholic up with the show
