Wimzie is listening to her new tape on birds. She repeats everything she's learning to anyone within earshot. Her friends soon tire of her ramblings on about pigeons and starlings and, without meaning any harm, say they'd prefer it if she stopped talking. Miffed, Wimzie takes the comment literally and decides to clam up even though all her friends really wished for was that she stop talking about birds. Time goes by and Wimzie still isn't saying a word. The others try to make her talk but to no avail. That's when Loulou notices that a nest and the eggs it contains are about to fall off a tree. Everyone runs to Wimzie for advice. At first, she thinks it's a trick and continues to give them the silent treatment. But then, something makes her realize this is for real and she quickly masterminds an "Operation Save the Nest", giving instructions and encouragements to her friends. Once the nest is safe again, everyone realizes that Wimzie has spoken and the misunderstanding is soon cleared up.
