Law & Order: Criminal Intent

A tourist yacht cruising the coast of Somalia opens fire on an unarmed boat, killing a sheikh and his wife. The incident sets off an international grab for power, an illegal arms deal and a hunt for terrorists. Captain Ross (Eric Bogosian) finds himself at the center of the conflict, galvanizing the assistance of Major Case detectives Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio), Eames (Kathryn Erbe) and Nichols (Jeff Goldblum). To bolster his image as an avenging son, Hassan (Ato Essandoh), the power-hungry son of a Somali sheikh, orders the death of the men he had earlier directed to kill his father. With an illegal arms deal and a hunt for Somali terrorists hanging in the balance, Detectives Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio), Eames (Kathryn Erbe), Nichols (Jeff Goldblum) and newcomer Stevens (Saffron Burrows) combine resources in an attempt to bring justice. The murder of an NYPD detective brings Nichols (Jeff Goldblum) and Stevens (Saffron Burrows) to a sleepy seaside town, ruled by one of Nichols' old foes - an Irish mob boss (Kevin Conway) with a reputation for eluding justice. Nichols and Stevens uncover a host of shady characters in Broad Channel, all of whom want something

from Jackie, even though they've already become his pawns. At the center of the case is Moira Boyle (Marin Hinkle), Jackie's former secretary who longs to return to her former boss's good graces and her son Eddie (Thomas McDonell), a recovering junkie looking for a second chance. Nichols and Stevens also come into conflict with

Atwater (Adam Trese), a fellow detective from Field's precinct who sees their presence as an intrusion on his turf. Atwater warns Nichols and Stevens that Broad Channel is an isolated community where people will do anything to protect their own. As their investigation deepens, Nichols and Stevens come to realize that

the bonds of community aren't enough to prevent blackmail, betrayal and murder.

Nichols (Jeff Goldblum) and Stevens (Saffron Burrows) investigate the death of a ballerina at a prestigious New York conservatory; a place where a love of art and beauty collides with the harsh reality of murder. Each year, the Schuman Center for the Performing Arts draws young dancers whose only desire is to pursue their dreams of beauty and perfection. Alona Landau (Lindsey Rose Sinclair), a ruthlessly cruel young dancer, winds up dead and there are few who truly mourn her. Her instructor, Ethan Johns (Lorenzo Pisoni), actually encouraged vicious competition, pitting the girls against each other. Alona's biggest competitor, Jessalyn Kerr (Melissa Benoist), also raises suspicion. Jessalyn is an extremely talented dancer who always ends up in second place, no matter how hard she works. How far will these dancers go to achieve their dreams?

When the headless body of Kevin Denaburg (Reginald Veneziano) is discovered at the bottom of a storm drain, what appears to be a mob hit soon leads to a secret world of high class-escorts and the gods of finance. Amber Donelli (Bree Williamson), Kevin's girlfriend, is exposed as a "party girl" - a high class escort for corporate events. Detectives Nichols (Jeff Goldblum) and Stevens (Saffron Burrows) soon find themselves in a high stakes game where loyalties are abused, and people will do anything to get what they think is coming to them.

Nichols (Jeff Goldblum) and Stevens (Saffron Burrows) are called to investigate after happily married couple Linda (Nadia Bowers) and Ted (Derek Cecil) are assaulted and sedated by a masked assailant while leaving the marina. Ted later emerges in a forest, confused and traumatized. Park workers discover him, and he says that he may have just killed his wife. Upon further examination, Linda's body reveals traces of an adhesive and suction cup marks. Captain

Callas (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio) recalls that there have been four similar killings around the country in recent years. As Detectives Nichols and Stevens pursue the case, they discover that motive can sometimes be harder to ascertain than the killer's identity.

Nichols (Jeff Goldblum) and Stevens (Saffron Burrows) investigate when Rachel, a young girl from the midwest who moved to NYC, is murdered after visiting a medical center to receive treatment for an assault. The cops track down Jay (Khan Baykal), Rachel's drug dealer boyfriend, after they learn that a fight in a bar involving Jay led to Rachel's assault. Meanwhile, at the medical facility, Maya (Caroline Dhavernas), Rachel's nurse, fends off advances from co-worker, Randall (Michael Gladis). The detectives interview Randall who denies any wrongdoing and states that he used to date Maya and that she dumped him for another man, Damon. As the detectives start digging for information on Damon, questions soon arise about Maya and her troubling past. Her relationship with Damon may be far more dangerous than they imagined.

Four men who have been friends since high school discover they're being blackmailed over the death of another childhood friend, Tom Reynolds (John Brodsky). His death became a lifelong burden and bond between the four men. In the intervening years, each of them has found a measure of success in their lives. Greg Foster (Karl Bury) opened a car dealership. Chris Denardi (Josh Stamberg) became a heart surgeon. John Silvestri (William Mapother) is the dean of a prestigious boys' school. Even Bailey O'Doyle, whose professional baseball career ended too soon, managed to open a restaurant. But try as they might, none of them can escape the shadow of their departed friend. When Bailey turns up dead, it's up to Nichols (Jeff Goldblum) and Stevens (Saffron Burrows) to uncover the truth behind a 22-year-old mystery.

Conner James, publisher if Inset Magazine, is found dead the morning after a party celebrating Inset's 50th anniversary. Known for his blunt criticism and abrasive personality, it's no surprise that the list of potential suspects is a long one. Suspects include Frank Bolinger (Ian Kahn), a passionate art director with a notorious temper, who was seen having a heated argument with Connor the very day of his murder. Patricia Caruso (Tracy Pollan), one of Inset's leading writers, is also a suspect. She certainly has a lot to gain since she is the one who steps into the role of editor-in-chief in the wake of Connor's death. There were many reasons for people to dislike Connor James. But whose hatred was enough to drive them to murder?

A body discovered at a construction site bears all the hallmarks of serial killer Elvis Howell (Chance Kelly) who was executed over six months ago in Chicago where Detective Stevens (Saffron Burrows) helped investigate. Stevens is faced with two grim possibilities: either they're dealing with a copycat, or she helped put an innocent man to death. As they investigate, Detective Nichols (Jeff Goldblum) and Stevens meet Dale Grisco (Ryan O'Nan), an old acquaintance of Howell's, Ernie Valentine (McCaleb Burnett), a mentally challenged man who works for Dale, and Reverend Shelby Redding, a prison chaplain who stood by dozens of men as they were put to death...perhaps one too many.

The body of bright young college student, Sarah Price, is found completely drained of blood. What appears to be a sex game gone wrong leads Nichols (Jeff Goldblum) and Stevens (Saffron Burrows) to a world of underground clubs, blood dealers, and a fanatical cult who believe themselves immortal. At the center of it all are Anton and Virgil (Matt Burns), two charismatic young men who lure in the young and willing. They espouse a twisted worldview, steeped

in sensuality, devotion and the promise of eternal life.

Ryan Foley, the owner of a popular food truck is murdered, and his body is discovered by a married woman, Angela Caldera (Holley Fain), who he was having an affair with. Detectives Nichols (Jeff Goldblum) and Stevens (Saffron Burrows) realize that someone is trying to send Angela a message. But who? Was it Nikhil Fayed, owner of a rival food truck? Or does it involve the Caldera family? Victor Caldera (José Zúñiga), patriarch of the family and Angela's father in law, is a charismatic senator in the midst of a brutal campaign. Nichols and Stevens tread carefully as their investigation takes them deeper into the corridors of power, where people will do anything to secure their legacy.

Government official Les Tarney (Paul Urcioli) blackmails Dr. Joel Silverstern (Daniel London) and Dr. Shelton Spring (Kelly AuCoin) for overcharging patients before he is killed. Several years ago, the two doctors struggled to realize their dream of owning a hospital, when they turned to a friend and son of a renowned mob boss, Henry Di Piano (Adam Rothenberg). After Tarney discovers the illegal sponsorship and threatens the doctors all seems lost when a miracle occurs. Les Tarney chokes on his own dinner. Nichols (Jeff Goldblum) and Stevens (Saffron Burrows) see Tarney's death for what it really is - murder. Before their investigation is over, more than one innocent will pay the price for their crimes.

The ghosts of Nichols' (Jeff Goldblum) past return to haunt him when he's called to investigate the murder of old friend Palmer Abrigaille (Tom Bloom) an eccentric book dealer who lived in isolation with his only daughter. Abrigaille's estate had fallen into decline when a grifter named Dylan Weld (Kyle Fabel) started to blackmail him over some ill-gotten books. When the money wasn't enough, Dylan set his eyes on Palmer's daughter, Lenore (Mili Avital) a troubled young woman. Nichols and Stevens are called to the Abrigaille estate, where they find the bodies of Palmer and Dylan, apparent victims of an old fashioned duel. Nichols believes the victims were killed by a third party and that the culprit is still in the house. There is no shortage of suspects in the case. There's Merill (Brennan Brown), Palmer's self-serving nephew, Bernard (Louis Cancelmi) and Regina (Geraldine Hughes), a couple who shared Palmer's passion for books, and even Richard Celeste (Erik Jensen), the faithful butler. Discovering the murderer will prove challenging, even for a detective of Nichols' caliber.

The career of promising young boxer, Danny Ford (Michael B. Jordan) is derailed when authorities discover he's at the center of a dog fighting ring. Danny's two best friends, Austin Darvis (Chris Chalk) and Ron Jordan (Nicoye Banks) run the underground dog fighting ring but it doesn't remain secret for long. When the police raid their warehouse, their friendship splinters as they rat each other out, yet all three wind up in jail. Several years later Danny's out of prison, trying to put his life back together when his friends return to pressure him into restarting their old business. Danny finds it difficult to keep his distance and that becomes even harder when Austin's mutilated body is discovered the next morning, mauled by the very animals they exploited.

The body of successful real estate agent Hildy Glazer (Joanne Baron) is discovered bled out in the basement of an empty building. The odd assortment of clues point Nichols (Jeff Goldblum) and Stevens (Saffron Burrows) in several different directions. A painter's truck was spotted at the scene of the abduction, belonging to a man named Andy Quinn (Tom Lipinski). Before Hildy's disappearance, she was examined by an abrasive doctor, Maynard Curtis (Tom Lipinski). But most disturbing are the images on the walls - images painted in blood that forensics claim were drawn by a young child. Driven by that terrible implication, Nichols develops a theory of how these three seemingly unrelated people are connected. But to prove it, he's forced to consult with the most unlikely expert: Doctor Theodore Nichols (F. Murray Abraham), his father. Their relationship is shaky at best, but they'll have to work fast; another innocent has just been kidnapped.
