Stilted, Wooden & Vapid. With great mysteries like Poirot, Miss Marple and Foyle's War I am baffled by the reviews for this show. It's as if the actors were collected from an inferior rep company or have been instructed to act without an affect. Is it the Canadian connection that is responsible for the ratings and reviews? Like a modern cozy series imitating the Golden Age (badly).

Probably the greatest, most imaginative television show to appear in recent years. A great cast, consistently interesting stories and fun characters over the last ten years, make this a show that one can easily binge on. There aren't many shows these days, which decades later will receive the label "classic" but Murdoch's Mysteries will be one of those few.
