1 The Birth of Astro Boy

Year 2030 in Tokyo. Dr. Boynton loses his beloved son Toby in a traffic accident. Out of grief, he tries to make a super robot with a heart, which looks just like his son. Jiss has a spy copy the blueprint and makes a duplicate robot, Atlas, which has the omega factor. Dr. Boynton ignores the prime minister's disposal order and completes robot Toby.
2 The Robot Circus

Toby is deceived by the master into joining a robot circus in America. Dr. Elephant, who is scheduled to be appointed as Minister of Science to replace the absent Dr. Boynton, sees Toby fail in his job as a stagehand. Toby performs an electrode swing to substitute for a broken star robot and stops robot animals from going out of control. Cathy, a member of the circus, tricks the master into letting Toby go. Dr. Elephant brings Toby back to Japan with him and names him Astro Boy.
3 Save the Classmate

Astro has returned to Japan with Dr. Elephant, the newly-appointed Minister of Science. The Declaration of the Rights of Robots is proclaimed. Astro attends elementary school and becomes the first robot student. When his classmate Alvin is not elected as the class president by the one vote Astro casts, he becomes hostile to Astro. He sneaks into an amusement park that his father is building with his followers. An unfinished rocket coaster goes out of control! It will explode in several minutes. Astro hurries over to rescue them.
4 Atlas Lives Again

A plane with Dr. Elephant and Astro on board is caught in a magnetic storm, but Astro saves the plane from crashing. Atlas, who has remodeled himself into the form of a young man, rescues Skunk, who is wanted by the police but they separate. Atlas snatches Astro's parents, who were made by Dr. Elephant. Astro tracks someone who resonates with him and finds Atlas causing a magnetic storm. Astro refuses to cooperate with him to take over the world and destroys Atlas' base and relieves his parents.
5 Robot Land

A swan flies into Astro's home and turns into Princess Odette. But Devil King, who has chased after her, takes her back. Dr. Elephant and Astro visit an island called Robot Land, made by Dr. Hyde who is Dr. Elephant's former colleague at the Ministry of Science. Dr. Elephant resents the robot abuse that occurs there. The next day Astro sneaks onto the island but is caught. His classmates reveal that Dr. Hyde is secretly producing weapons and the robots revolt. Astro defeats Devil King.
6 Frankenstein

Frankenstein, an uncompleted robot for space exploration, goes out of control after being struck by lightning in the Precision Machinery Division at the Ministry of Science. Frankenstein is taken over by Skunk, the first human he has encountered, and starts stealing money and valuables on Skunk's order. A trend in distrust of robots spreads and robots in the town are deactivated one after another. Astro is mistaken for Frankenstein's accomplice but repairs Frankenstein who, once again, has gone out of control after being struck by lightning, and captures Skunk's followers.
7 The Red Cat

Professor Leopold, who has appealed to stop a construction project that is destroying nature in the Basin Valley, fakes his own death. He tries to stop the construction wearing a cat mask as a disguise, but Astro reveals his identity. Leopold declares to Dr. Elephant that something will happen on November 19. On that day, all the animals in the town go on a rampage. Dr. Elephant makes Astro find the professor and destroy the supersonic hypnosis device controlling the animals. The construction is stopped but the professor is dead.
8 The Crystal of the Desert

Astro goes on a research trip to a desert area in the woods but his plane is attacked and crashes. Astro is saved by a mouse robot called Pecos Pete and encounters Atlas and Livian in a huge crystal that has emerged from a hole in the desert. Astro finds out the crystal is the reason the area has turned to desert. Escaping from the crystal, Astro fights Atlas in space. But Livian is sacrificed and Atlas leaves.
9 The White Planet

Skunk's gang plots to win a round-the-world race around the equator and destroys the White Planet, the vehicle belonging to Konrad who aims for six consecutive wins. Dr. Elephant tries to use Astro's electronic brain to repair the White Planet. Astro foils the subversive plans of the gang as they try to destroy the White Planet during the race. Konrad finds out his sister Mitzi is actually a robot and a backup electronic brain. The White Planet holds out against a nuclear torpedo and wins the race.
10 A Robot President

Astro and Daddy Walrus are invited to the presidential inauguration of President Richie in the country of Garavia, but the president and Daddy Walrus are abducted by the Dead Cross Party that objects to the world's first robot president. The president detects that the party leader is Dead Cross, who disagrees with granting robots rights. A damaged Astro is saved by Daddy Walrus and releases the president from Dead Cross' manipulation. Dead Cross perishes as his castle is destroyed.
11 Goliath's Head

A rocket carrying a Mars development robot named Goliath crashes in an accident and Goliath loses his head, which can fire a neutron beam. Dr. Elephant has sensed that the head is dangerous and has had Astro hide it. But the head is stolen by a thief. Goliath attacks robots one after another while seeking his head. Astro recaptures the head from Skunk who has obtained it. Goliath fights Astro and ruins himself with his own beam.
12 The Light Ray Robot

The Light Ray Robot, an innocent, transparent robot which has won the Robot Art Grand Prix, is manipulated by Skunk to rob money and valuables. Daddy Walrus lures Skunk but lets him get away. Astro becomes friends with the Light Ray Robot who takes an interest in him. Skunk has the Light Ray Robot carry a time bomb to eliminate Daddy Walrus. Astro helps with the arrest of Skunk and his gang but the Light Ray Robot is destroyed by the police.
13 Uran the Tomboy

Dr. Elephant gives Astro a pretty girl robot, Uran, as a New Year's gift. But she is too much for Astro to handle. She goes into town and causes a commotion. On top of that she is lured by a special sound wave from a clown's flute and is captured by a robot smuggling ring, along with other child robots. But with Uran's help, Astro finds the smugglers' artificial island and destroys it. Uran and the other child robots are rescued by Astro.

The Donohues and the Cavalets have been enemies for generations. Their racing teams are rivals and their robot brothers are opposed to each other. But ironically, Robio of the Donohues and Robiette of the Cavalets fall in love. Astro participates in the Robot Grand Prix as a substitute for Robio who has been damaged in a dispute.

Astro is appointed leader of the second Mars resources investigative team but sub-leader Lieutenant Blackstone is hostile to Astro. Lieutenant Nelson of the first investigative team has been left on Mars and his sister smuggles herself aboard Astro's space ship. On Mars, Lt. Nelson's robot troop battles against aliens who plan to take over the Earth. Astro joins the battle and saves Lt. Blackstone's life. Reflecting on his past conduct, Lt. Blackstone goes on a suicide attack against the aliens' mother vessel and dies.

One after another, children get hurt in the explosion of a balloon in the shape of Astro. It is reported to the police that Astro is the guilty one and people despise him. While chasing balloons Astro is shot by Balast, a candidate for mayor. The real criminal is Skunk in collusion with Balast, who has an anti-robot policy. Astro is fixed with Uran's parts and finds the balloon factory with Dr. Elephant's help. The gang is captured and Balast, who has been elected to office, is arrested.
19 The Transformation Robot

Astro visits the underground uranium quarry on the Cross Island with Dr. Elephant and meets Buck, an uncompleted robot. Prof. Terapin, the creator of Buck, breaks out of prison with Mandrake's gang, sneaks onto the island and makes Buck into a transformation robot, but Terapin's gang use Buck for a uranium robbery. Prof. Terapin is killed and Buck chases and destroys the gang's submarine with Astro but is damaged and becomes an ordinary robot.
20 The Wreck of the Titan

Meteorites hit a spaceship circling the moon and Astro and seven others eject on a lifeboat. They land by chance on a crater on the moon where air is generated and Astro finds a Soviet moon rocket that was wrecked 30 years ago and notes left by a female lieutenant. Learning that the communication device is fixed and the party will be rescued, Morlock tries to rip off a diamond that the lieutenant's robot is wearing but he is caught and left on the moon alone.
21 The Liar Robot

True, an assistant robot to Farrow, the director of a crust research laboratory, tells a lie that a big earthquake will occur, and causes a panic. Astro is wrongly thought to be responsible. The director has broken True's judgment circuit, so that he doesn't tell his daughter Pearl, who has lost her sight in an accident, the truth that there is no chance of recovery. True is repaired and gives a warning that a big earthquake will occur but people break him and then the town is damaged by the earthquake. For Pearl, Astro pretends he is True.
22 The Girl from Alsoar

During a snowstorm at night, Astro meets a girl lying outside a ski lodge who identifies herself as Violet. She is captured by robots but Astro rescues her from the robots' flying saucers that steal water. She says that she is from a water-starved planet called Alsoar and her disordered robots are out of control. Astro attacks the mother ship and the flying saucers are eliminated. Violet is actually a plant and she asks Astro to plant her on the Earth when he tells her Alsoar has exploded.

A man in a castle orders Bruton to defeat the seven strongest robots in the world. Bruton destroys Mt. Blanc and Molnar. He kidnaps Uran but returns her to Astro and defeats Brondo, but gets hurt in the process. His creator Abrah installs a self-destruct mechanism in Bruton. Dr. Elephant finds out the man in the castle is Sultan, who has been exiled from his country, and in order to protect Dr. Elephant, Astro fights Bruton, who has defeated Zeron.
24 The Greatest Robot in the World (Part II)

Bruton, who has defeated Hercules and Fotar, has a duel in the Mountain of Tears with Astro. But the volcano starts to erupt and Bruton helps Astro to avert disaster. Bruton refuses to fight Astro. His creator Abrah sends out Bora, and Bruton blows himself up but Astro defeats Bora. Abrah shows Sultan that he is actually his former servant robot and has Sultan reflect on the foolishness of contests of strength.
25 The Robot Vikings

Astro's dog is seriously injured by a group of rogue robots that devastate the town. Astro changes himself into a dog and fights them but they unite in the shape of a centipede and run away, although they later die. While chasing them, Astro finds the solidified Livian. Atlas appears and says that they are his followers whom he has remodeled from robot football players but they have betrayed him. In appreciation for saving Livian, Atlas gives a veterinarian a medicine to bring the dog back to life.
26 The Time Machine

Rock, a time patrolman of the 23rd century, goes to the country of Molavia in the 15th century with Astro, Uran, brilliant surgeon Dr. Roget and his assistant Penny. Rock accidentally hurts the prince seriously and Dr. Roget treats him, but the great king of wizardry Gore, who wants to take the throne, interferes. Astro and Rock capture Gore, who is a time criminal. The prince, who is actually a female, becomes the queen.
27 Robot Stuntman

The stunts of action star Tom Stanton are actually done by a tiny stunt robot named Sam. When Uran finds this out at the studio, she takes Sam home. The producers, who don't want people to know about Sam, scheme to lure the two into the studio and eliminate them. But Astro rushes over and the producers apologize and make a film staring Sam.
28 The Great Meltdown

Livian's plane is brought down by a tracking plane. Astro saves her but she suffers a loss of memory. Meanwhile, ice at the North Pole melts and world cities start to be submerged. Struck by lightning, Livian recovers her memory and says that Atlas is the one who is behind this. Astro goes to Greenland and fights Atlas. Astro restores the ice in the North Pole with proton freezing bombs that Dr. Elephant has made. Atlas is frozen in ice.
29 Uran's Twin

Uran sneaks into the venue for the Roboting Championships and takes part in a match. She defeats a player and the promoter scouts for her but Daddy Walrus refuses. Prof. Haggarty remodels Uran at the promoter's direction. Uran is split into two bodies; one takes a drawing class and the other participates in a roboting match, but she only has half strength. Astro saves her and Dr. Elephant makes her whole again.
30 Speeding through the Storm

Astro and his classmates go on a field trip to see a dam and stay in a lodge. Due to a storm an upstream dam is on the point of breaking. Astro's jets fail so the party try to flee on a D51 steam locomotive kept in the lodge. An old man from the lodge, who was the automatic operating device, asks to incorporate himself into the SL. The D51 runs at full speed. With Astro's help, the D51 makes an escape from the water but the device burns out.
31 The Return of Queen Cleopatra

Cleopatra is resurrected before her Egyptian public. Caesar, a robot, steals the ladle, the sign of the queen, but is shot by pursuers after giving it to Astro. Cleopatra catches Astro. Cleopatra is also a robot and she rebels against her creator Barbareen, who conspires to conquer Africa. The public also catches on to the plot. Astro defeats a giant robot. Cleopatra dies in an explosion, along with Barbareen.
32 The Runaway Subway Train

Atlas, who has been released from ice by Livian, challenges Astro to a duel in a ballpark. But Daddy Walrus intervenes and Atlas withdraws. Astro is hidden in the vault of the Ministry of Science. While Astro's friends are riding a subway train, Atlas causes it to go out of control in order to lure Astro out and challenge him again. But Astro doesn't accept his challenge and stops the train as it is on the brink of crashing into a building at the end of the line. Atlas goes back with Livian who has come to get him.
33 The Baby Elephant Pook

A mother elephant and her baby wander into a safari park of robot animals in Africa, and the mother is shot dead by a hunter. Astro rescues and protects the baby elephant, who is called Pook. Dr. Huntley, who made the park, asks Dr. Elephant to remodel Zora, a murderous robot elephant, but Zora goes out of control by mistake. Astro defeats Zora, who has gone out of the park, and puts Pook in a troop of elephants. The park is unable to reopen.
34 The Secret Of Bee City

Astro and Uran visit Bee Island, a breeding ground for bees, on an island-hopping cruise. They meet Christopher, who is looking for his father Prof. McGowan who has disappeared on the island. They go to an underground city on the island, searching for the missing Prof. McGowan. Astro finds Prof. McGowan who is the victim of mind control following the hypnotic sting of a robot bee, and demesmerises him. He destroys the queen bee who seeks to conquer the world. The queen bee was a robot that McGowan made.
35 The Monster of Clarken

Astro visits an undersea farm where the mermaid robot Peppy works. He fights off descending sharks and a submarine belonging to Mandrake who seeks golden coral. He also helps with the breeding of fish. An electric shock from a mysterious fishtail damages Astro but Peppy repairs him. Astro finds a 1000-metre long electric ray that eats marine creatures. Peppy lures the ray into an undersea volcano and Astro defeats it using a volcanic eruption.
36 Lilly on Peligro Island

Astro picks up a letter in a bottle in the sea and goes to find Peligro Island. But he is swallowed by an artificial sea snake and taken to an undersea mining base with other victims. Astro meets an old man and his daughter Lilly, who threw the bottle into the ocean, and rescues them both. The queen of the island, who believes that Astro is the bravest of men because he has got rid of the sea snake, is attracted to him and cuts off his head when he tries to leave the island. Astro sadly parts with Lilly who assumes he is dead.
37 The Anti-proton Gun

Banned from using the Anti-Proton Gun by the United Nations, Capt. Perot sets out to destroy a moon of Jupiter to prove the effect. Astro follows to stop him and engages in battle with Atlas, who has come to steal the gun because Jiss, who is alive, takes Livian hostage. The moon is destroyed by the gun. Livian escapes after telling Atlas that Astro is his brother. Jiss is eliminated.
38 The Man-made Solar Sphere

A man-made solar sphere starts attacking the earth. English detective Holmes finds out that Dr. Elephant made it a long time ago. Holmes, whose whole body except his head has been replaced with machinery by a robot doctor, hates robots. He disguises himself as Dr. Elephant and goes into the Larson ring that manipulates the solar sphere. Being touched by Astro's devotion, Holmes releases the solar sphere into space. He is shot in the head by Larson but agrees to become a robot.
39 Blackie Young

A small parcel containing some broken parts is sent to Dr. Elephant. When he assembles those parts, a mysterious robot is restored. Led by a clue given by this robot, Astro Boy heads to the Antarctica with Daddy Walrus to investigate the gang of Black Looks and beat them off. Then Astro captures Black Looks, a leader of the gang. Black Looks, who believes his mother has been murdered, learns the mysterious robot restored by Dr. Elephant actually is his mother. Then Black Looks and his mother hold tight each other.
40 The Genie from Outer Space

Astro reassembles an artificial sphere fallen in the Northern Alps. It turns out that the sphere is a robot named Garon developed by an alien to alter other planets, which unfortunately has fallen on the earth in transit. Activated by lightning, Garon, running wild, is drawn into the ground. Prof. Adams, who collects Garon from the earth makes him alter a deserted southern island. But then Prof. Adams is killed by the atmospheric air Garon has changed. Astro, by provoking Garon, makes him change the gravity of the earth. Then Garon himself is thrown into the outer space.
41 The Robots Nobody Wanted

Astro meets three discarded robots; a welder named Peter, a nurse named Becky, and a fire fighter named Duke. They are thrown away by people because of one mistake they have made. Astro tries to find jobs for them; however, no one shows interest since they are non-registered. But then those three robots actively work at the accident in the space factory. Thanks to their contribution, many discarded robots come to be recycled.
42 Atlas Forever

The Defense Force formed against the assaults on airships in the solar system attacks Atlas's crystal castle. Knowing that such assaults are not the work of Atlas and Atlas is his own brother, Astro is deeply shocked. Unidentified flying saucers appear over the earth. Astro fights against the invaders together with the defense force; however, the force is damaged severely. Astro pleads Atlas for help. Atlas, acknowledging Astro as his own brother, gets in his crystal castle, which then turns into a huge black hole. Swallowing the enemy's mother ship, the castle itself disappears somewhere.
43 The Snow Leopard

Robots become immobilised when unexpected snow falls in October. Dr. Elephant, then, discovers the snow actually is a micro-organism which absorbs energy from robots. Astro heads to the black cloud which brings the snow, where he sees Dr. Feeney who plans to take over the world. But then Astro is defeated by a leopard on the black cloud. Astro later finds out the snow does not absorb natural energy. He makes up a compound robot to fight against the enemy and destroys a leopard by utilising thunder lights. Finally, Dr. Feeney is captured, and the snow starts melting under the warm sunlight.
44 Uran's Quest

Uran asks Dr. Oz, a computer in the Children's Land, where she can meet the God. Dr. Oz, not knowing how to answer her question, suddenly claims that he is the God, and makes all the rides in the land run away. Astro, rushing to the Children's Land, somehow rescues Uran and other children. Yet Dr. Oz gives Astro trouble with the rides in the land. Finally, Astro turns off the switch on Dr. Oz, and Dr. Elephant gently admonishes Uran.
45 Outer Spaceport R45

Astro is sent to Outer Spaceport R45 by Dr. Elephant to clean up space pirates, while Captain Tenison Jr. happens to see his father throw the parts of robots away. His father reveals that Captain Tenison Jr. is actually a robot, not a human, and he has needed to replace Captain Tenison's parts to disguise his growth. Knowing his true nature, Captain Tenison is deeply anguished. He, however, stands up with Astro to arrest the Hotel Manager who is behind the space pirates. After cleaning up the pirates, Captain Tenison Jr. determines to continue his duty as Captain of the space patrol team.
46 The Hijacked Airship

Longing to have dreams as ordinary people do, Astro asks Dr. Elephant to suspend his ultra powers only for 24 hours. One day, accompanied by Daddy Walrus, Kenneth and Mindy, who received the first prize at the writing contest, get on the airship in Japan during its voyage around the world as an award for their works, while Alvin and Astro sneak into the ship following them. The airship is highjacked by a man bent on suicide, and the ship loses control. The ship almost crushes against a huge building, but then Astro eventually recovers his power and saves the ship.
47 The Human-Faced Rock

Accompanying Astro and Uran, Daddy Walrus visits his old colleague now running a small inn in the village, where earthquakes often occur. The villagers believe the village at the foot will be ruined when the human-faced rock on top of the mountain turns its direction. The actual cause of the earthquake is the secret excavation by Prof. Lewis, who uses Fireball, a robot, to dig up the treasures left by Vikings. The human-faced rock falls into the lake, and the village is sunk under the water. Astro tries to rescue drowned Prof. Lewis. Seeing such Astro's behaviour, Fireball changes his mind and help them despite his resentment against Prod. Lewis.
48 Uran Falls in Love

Assassination of robots by Zeus, a destroyer robot, has occurred continuously. Lamp who strongly claims robot slavery is the one who pulls the strings behind it. On the other hand, Uran is stalked by a strange robot dog she takes in on the street. One day, Lamp plans to attack the robot ambassador of UN, but his plan is blocked by Astro. Lamp takes Uran hostage. But then, Zeus, bouncing on Lamp to help her, is shot by Lamp. From Zeus's body, the robot dog stalking Uran rolls out and goes away somewhere, revealing that he is the brain circuit of Zeus.
49 The World of Odin

Receiving the last word from Prof. Gould in Northern Europe, Astro and Dr. Elephant help Captain Cloud find the sacred land. Following the words written on the stone found in the place pointed by Prof. Gould, Captain Cloud wins the crown of the descendant of Viking through a duel and finds the sacred land. The true nature of the God found in the sacred land is Odin, a wrecked spaceship, flying from a star 1000 years ago. Cloud, however, loses his life to save Astro captured by Odin. Astro , recovering from the damage, throws Odin into the sulfur spring to destroy it.
50 The Secret of Mayas

Astro heads to Mexico to help excavation. Senor Garcia and his team move forward to the Mayan pyramid with the help of Astro, where Dr. Perez who has been placed in the cryogenic chamber is found. Not knowing its true nature is a guardian robot, Astro attacks the Sphinx, while Senior Garcia whose actual purpose is uranium in the cryogenic chamber is arrested by an undercover detective.
51 Astro's First Love

The design of Astro's prototype equipped with a neutron bomb is stolen. With the help of a robot named Niki, Astro sneaks into the underground fortress in the Republic of Grotta to recapture the design. Prof. Rindolf, owner of Niki, revealing that he made Niki from the stolen design, initiates Niki's trigger device. Then, Astro asks Dr. Elephant to disassemble Niki and replace his leg to one of hers.

About this show

2030 AD. After being abandoned by his creator, a young boy robot is rescued by an 'Android Advocate', Dr Elefun, who adopts him as his own and guides him in the use of his special powers to aid and protect mankind and robot-kind. TM & 1980 Tezuka Productions

Well i've watched alot of japanimation and anime and still i can't not stop watching astroboy he is the upitummy of all that's good and decent in the human race if you ever watch 1 japanimation series then ASTROBOY should be the one you watch!!!!!!!!!!
