Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em

Disaster prone Frank manages to find a job as a salesman for farm products and with the job comes a company car. When Frank and Betty go for a picnic on a seaside cliff-top, Frank faces a cliff hanger moment.

Frank attends an RAF reunion and the hidden story of his short but eventful spell in the services unfolds in flashback.

Betty urges Frank to go on a public relations course. As the course progresses relations begin to deteriorate on a grand scale!

After seeing the doctor, Betty has to break the news to Frank that she is pregnant. He reacts as well as can be expected but decides he ought to visit the maternity clinic too. In addition, Frank goes for a job at a holiday camp, with predictably disastrous results.

Frank and Betty try to get some practice at looking after children by taking Judy and Alison for a day out at the zoo. And Frank attends a maternity class - without Betty. He finishes the day off with a rather dangerous rollerskating routine.

After a few false alarms, the great day has arrived and Betty and Frank's baby is due. Betty wakes during the night and Frank must follow his 'routine' to get her to hospital on time. Frank is present at the birth and encourages Betty as only he can!

Frank is experiencing his first Christmas as a father, and he is determined that it will be an eventful one for Jessica. Fortunately, his pride and joy is not always present to see the chaos he creates, especially when he gets involved in the Christmas Nativity Play in the local church.

As Christmas approaches, Frank takes just one more lesson before yet another driving test.
