The series follows a team of scientists from the Centers for Disease Control who travel to a research facility in the Arctic to investigate a potential outbreak of disease. While there, they find themselves stuck in a life-or-death situation that could decide the fate of the future of mankind.

I would have given 5 stars but for a little too much personal drama and a little too much medical magic stretching plausibility and wrinkling the plot a little. 4.5 stars would do it. Great and well worth watching.

Went to scifi really fast...I love the ideas of a tv show about fighting deseas like containment, but they did not renew it...hinestly no loss in Helox being cancelled....just wished that they continued containment.

It is not difficult to do a drama on the subject of disease control, genetic manipulation by corporate interests, or even zombies. Taking this as their inspiration, the makers of Helix did nothing difficult such as being consistent let alone creative.
