Season 4 episodes (6)

1 Part 1
1/29/24
When eight researchers at Tsalal Station suddenly disappear, Danvers orders a search but tempers expectations of finding the men. After handling a workplace dispute and checking-in on her sister Julia, Navarro tries to convince a skeptical Danvers that the men’s disappearance is connected to the murder of local activist Annie Kowtok, a case that has long gone cold. Premieres January 14.
2 Part 2
2/26/24
As Danvers and Prior set out to learn more about Tsalal – and find an unlikely location for the physical evidence – Captain Connelly threatens to move the case to Anchorage. Later, Navarro and Danvers separately find a connection between one of the Tsalal men and Annie, prompting the former partners to agree to work the case together.
3 Part 3
2/12/24
While Hank leads the search for Clark, Prior asks Danvers about the murder-suicide case that drove a wedge between her and Navarro. After sifting through the contents of Clark’s trailer, Navarro and Danvers seek out a local hairdresser for insight on Annie – which leads to a tip about another former Tsalal worker. Later, tensions grow between Danvers and her stepdaughter Leah.
4 Part 4
2/19/24
When Julia’s mental health struggles resurface, Navarro brings her to a local facility, promising that this time will be better. Later, Danvers and Navarro confirm the location of Annie’s murder – and Danvers levies a harsh punishment on Leah following her act of protest.
5 Part 5
2/26/24
As Prior digs into the links between Tsalal and mining company Silver Sky, Navarro rescues Leah from a local protest that has turned violent. At a meeting with Silver Sky exec Kate McKitterick, Danvers balks when Connelly shares the official cause of the Tsalal men’s deaths – and gets a warning against pursuing the case any further. Later, Hank receives a quid pro quo offer.
6 Part 6
2/26/24
In the midst of a brutal storm, Danvers and Navarro find themselves stuck at Tsalal with no electricity or means of contact. As the truth about what happened to Annie and the Tsalal men unfolds, Navarro and Danvers each confront the demons from their past.

Watched the first two episodes and thought it was building up to something with each new episode. It never did. The cast is a okay but could have done better with a better script. After watching season one (and liking it) I thought this season would be entertaining as well. I was wrong. By the fifth or sixth episode I wanted to quit watching it. I ended up watching the entire season. Not because it picked up. Quite the contrary. My brother and I would watch the episodes and laugh when nothing progressed.

I was recommended this show. After watching the Pilot, which I purchased individually, I couldn't stop thinking about it... so I purchased the 2nd episode, and things unraveled from there. My interest was primarily to watch a "Neo-Noir" or a "Rual-Noir" and look for revisions on the genre, in this aspect, True Detective fit the bill. As an entertainment factor, It's a wonderful show, with great character development and contrast between the characters. Although I will admit, coming off such a ridiculously strong pilot, there were certain aspects of the show I found unrealistic and a bit far-fetched. I was excited to see how things wrapped up in the end as I knew they were not planning on returning to these characters in Season 2... the ending however was... a bit flat for my taste, very cliche. Still a wonderful show, I suppose I was just hoping something about more risky, especially considering the characters fates were sealed either way, and literally ANYTHING could have been done to them, needn't worry about genre conventions. Looking forward to Season 2.

I am honestly at a loss how this season got so many positive reviews. episodes 1-7 kept you hanging on. Season finale absolute trash. Have you ever seen the village, or any other movie with a terrible ending? saved you 8 hours, you're welcome.
