Nurse Jackie

Picking up right where we left off with her arrest at the end of last season, Jackie suffers through a harrowing stay in a holding cell followed by sedated detox. Knowing it's going to be a battle to win over Akalitus and keep her job, Jackie pays a visit to hotshot lawyer Barry Wolfe. Meanwhile, Carrie wants to keep her news of her pregnancy low-key, but Coop has bigger plans.

Jackie sets her sights on returning to All Saints, aided by her pit bull lawyer -- the problem is she can’t afford to pay his retainer. Strapped for cash, Jackie gets inventive, turning to her old habits for a solution. Jackie goes toe-to-toe with Kevin after discovering his financial duplicity. Zoey struggles with the news that Jackie may be returning to the ER.

Jackie is on the floor again but back to square one. Under the Diversion Program, she cannot touch patients or medication and undergoes mandatory daily urine screens. But in her new role, she learns two big secrets with which she must contend. Akalitus makes it clear that she isn’t going to make life easy for Jackie. Just as the tables have turned in her relationship with Jackie, Zoey learns the outcome of her Master’s program application. Carrie withholds news about her pregnancy from Coop.

Akalitus doesn’t trust Jackie when she shares the news that the hospital is being sold to Norwegian developers. Carrie meets Coop’s proposal with an unexpected reaction causing him to make a major life decision. Still strapped for cash, Jackie’s dealing takes a surprising turn.

Jackie stirs up trouble when she rallies her co-workers against the developers, but an attractive offer challenges her allegiance. Coop prepares for his last day at All Saints while Carrie is confused by his excitement about leaving. Dr. Bernie Prince, Coop's replacement, arrives and surprises everyone with his carpe diem attitude.

Jackie, Dr. Prince and Akalitus are forced to run the ER without nurses when Zoey leads a walk-out to protest the hospital closing. Meanwhile, Jackie battles her cravings when she treats a heroin addict.

After an unexpected validation from Grace, Jackie is determined to stop dealing so Jackie and Eddie decide to make one last purge of their stash. Just as the deal goes awry, their relationship reaches a new level.  When Zoey blames herself after a patient dies, Carrie steps forward as an unlikely ally. Prince and Akalitus bond over lunch when she reveals something from her past.

When Jackie tells Grace about her news, Grace’s reaction surprises her. As the hospital begins the process of shutting down, Dr. Prince enlists Jackie’s help to keep an ICU patient with a brain tumor from giving up his fight to live. Later, Jackie learns some disturbing news about Dr. Prince.  Thor reveals a romantic secret and Zoey and Carrie throw him a celebration.

Jackie and Zoey set out on an unexpected road trip.  Stressed out by the long drive, Zoey finally confronts her frustration with Jackie.  Dr. Prince attracts a neighborhood mob to All Saints.

Jackie and Eddie's quiet morning is interrupted by an unwelcome knock at the door that puts everything they’ve worked for in jeopardy.  Jackie is shocked to learn that her nursing license hearing has been moved up to today.  As the hearing approaches, Jackie has final confrontations with Zoey and Akalitus.  Akalitus continues her attack on Jackie in front of the licensing board, causing her lawyer to bring out the big guns.

Jackie is back, but Zoey has mixed feelings about her return. Jackie bonds with an emotionally unstable, but charming, patient Vigilante Jones who claims to be a superhero. Dr. Prince inadvertently puts a patient’s life at risk, forcing Jackie to perform an important procedure on her own. Alarmed by his behavior, Jackie goes to Akalitus. Meanwhile, Zoey is shocked by Carrie’s secret. Eddie’s in hot water at his job which could jeopardize Jackie’s position at All Saints.

It’s the last day at All Saints and Jackie’s future is clearly up in the air. Emotions are running high especially when an old friend makes a surprise return.
