About this show

It’s been 22 years since a mysterious burrito truck abducted Bajo’s parents. Dedicated to finding them, the socially awkward Bajo still hasn’t uncovered any leads but after landing a job with Spatial and Extra-terrestrial Phenomena Investigations (SEPI), he does discover aliens secretly living amongst us.
At SEPI, Bajo realises missing parents are only the start of his problems. His boss Dan Driver is money obsessed and has no experience whatsoever. Intel agent Violet can’t contain her emotions, which is ironic given her brain is contained in a fish tank. Then there’s Bajo’s field partners, inane hipster Tosh who prefers styling over snooping, and amateur weapons enthusiast Amy who shoots first before shooting again.
As these misfits struggle to complete missions without wiping out their mark or writing off the company car, they also contend with the Illacks – a mysterious alien race who live in food trucks and abduct humans – who may have something to do with Bajo’s missing parents…

Really liked TFB. Smart and funny series for young people, but don’t dismiss it if you don’t have kids - it's just good comedy/sci-fi, clever enough for adults but clean enough for younger people to watch too. Lots of comparisons to be drawn - Hitchhiker’s Guide, Dirk Gently (the book and the recent Netflix series), Red Dwarf, Doctor Who, just to name a few. Easily digestible 10-minute episodes make it great for bingeing and rewatching. The cast and crew features some great up-and-coming Australian talent, awesome to see some POC up front in the main cast as well. Would love to see a second season!

A delightfully energetic scifi show for all ages. Really fresh ideas and fun monsters, with interesting settings and witty dialogue. Always a joy to see great Australian talent, too. Hope we get a few more seasons!

Lil bursts of sci-fi wackiness. Each character brings their own unique charm and keeps you engaged. Highly creative and smart writing. My favourite series of the year! I'd call it a technical win!
