Linked by their former bond and the panic and confusion the enigmatic messages cause, the friends are suddenly reunited, though each girl has her own secrets — secrets she wants no one else to know.

The circumstances surrounding Alison's disappearance continue to haunt Aria, Emily, Spencer and Hanna as questions arise about the night she went missing. To complicate matters, the return of Jenna Cavanaugh (recurring guest star TAMMIN SURSOK -- Home and Away, The Young and the Restless) to Rosewood makes the girls face an unpleasant past and an incident that sealed their friendship forever. Can the girls face what has taken place in their past, especially since "A" won't let them forget? Meanwhile temptation is everywhere as Aria tries her hardest to stay away from Ezra and Spencer won't shy away from her sister's fiancé, Wren (recurring guest star JULIAN MORRIS -- 24, ER).

"The past will come back to haunt you" — this saying has never been more true than for Aria, Spencer, Hanna and Emily. As the girls try to pay tribute to Alison's memory, the four friends are faced with unresolved issues. Aria has an unsettling encounter with Byron's old mistress, Meredith (recurring guest star AMBER BORYCKI -- The Big Bang Theory, Harper's Island). Emily is forced to see Toby Cavanaugh (recurring guest star KEEGAN ALLEN) in a new light. Spencer is reeling in the wake of someone with a vengeance and Hanna is desperate to have her boyfriend forget the "old" Hanna. With "A" taunting them every step of the way, can the girls forge ahead and leave the past behind? Meanwhile, Detective Wilden (recurring guest star BRYCE JOHNSON -- Popular) uses his new connection to Hanna and Ashley to his benefit. But will he get the answers he's looking for by making himself at home in the Marin household?

Tired of being harassed by "A," the girls decide to put a stop to the anonymous emails and text messages by blocking all unknown users. But just because the mysterious ghost isn't looming over their heads, the girls' problems are far from over. With a surprise visit by a father, a surprise gift from a prospective paramour, getting some unwanted advice and an unwanted scholarly accolade — the girls' lives continue to get more complicated by the day. Do the four girls really think they can keep "A" away forever?

Trying to ignore "A" backfired for the girls and now they must pay the penalty. Whether it is a family in crisis, parental praise for an undeserved honor looming over their head or wearing totally unfashionable scrubs while working off a debt — the girls must deal with it all. And on top of that the lipstick message from "A" is still haunting them. Meanwhile, the girls must also deal with typical teenage drama — the boy kind. A new guy arrives and pushes the status quo, a secret love is tested, a new romance blooms and an old romance floats in the grey area.

The Homecoming decorating committee is knee-deep in balloons and girls are jockeying for position to be the queen, while four friends from Rosewood just try to stay afloat. One girl makes a shocking choice for a homecoming that puts her in a possibly sticky situation. Will the girls be able to protect one of their own or will the evening turn out to be a night they can never forget?

In the aftermath of the disastrous homecoming dance, the girls try to sort out the devastation that is left behind. Parents, boyfriends (secret ones, possible ones and current ones), siblings and friends are all in flux, and if the little liars don't act fast, the situation could go from bad to worse. To top it off, the girls are sitting on some killer information about Toby (recurring guest star KEEGAN ALLEN) that some people would die to get their hands on. Meanwhile, "A" isn't the only one sending Aria text messages, as tensions rise in the Montgomery household. Best-selling author SARA SHEPARD (Pretty Little Liars) makes a cameo appearance as a substitute teacher at Rosewood High School.

After much planning, the day of Alison's memorial is around the corner and the girls are ready to say their good-byes. But when Alison's brother, Jason DiLaurentis (guest star PARKER BAGLEY -- A Nightmare on Elm Street [2010]), arrives, Spencer, Aria, Hanna and Emily quickly learn that saying good-bye is at the bottom of his list. As Jason takes over, and Detective Wilden (recurring guest star BRYCE JOHNSON) returns, will the girls be able to celebrate Alison's life in the peaceful and positive way they were hoping for? Meanwhile, Hanna is forced to deal with a situation at home that could really cramp her "It girl" status.

A day of SAT testing is put on hold when a violent storm hits Rosewood. But instead of being able to enjoying the postponement of academics, the girls are stuck inside the school dealing with the drama that follows them everywhere. Each girl finds herself in the middle of a tense situation ... and whether it's between friends, potential love interests, a boyfriend and a parent, or between the past and the present, at the end of the day, the girls will think the taking a standardized test would have been a piece of cake compared to what they went through. Meanwhile, Byron leans on Ashley for advice on parenting as his relationship with Ella takes a turn for the worse.

The discovery of a new piece of evidence about Alison's disappearance brings the FBI to town, and the last thing the girls want to do is go "glamping" (glam-style camping) for a birthday party. But when they get a text that insinuates that "A" will be at the party, Spencer gets the idea that it may be their chance to finally put an end to the threats. Once at the camp party, however, not even the mani/pedi station can lift the girls' spirits when the evening takes a dangerous turn. Meanwhile, the Marin financial situation is pushing Ashley to the brink.

In this episode, moments after Hanna is hit by a car, the girls' world is turned upside down. "A" is no longer content to play a game of cat and mouse, and thing take a far more precarious turn. More than ever, the four girls must turn to each other for support. With Hanna in the hospital and armed with the information of who "A" is, the girls backtrack to figure out how they got to this point. How could this person know everything? Meanwhile, each girl must also deal with a secret that is either discovered, confessed or confronted, proving that secrets still abound in Rosewood, Pennsylvania.

Hanna's return home from the hospital should be a joyous event, but being stuck in a wheelchair and feeling haunted by "A" makes her return feel more like a Hitchcock nightmare than a proper homecoming. Even though the girls try their best to support Hanna, they all have troubles they must face as well: Spencer is still reeling from Melissa's (recurring guest star TORREY DeVITTO -- One Tree Hill) surprise, when an unexpected roadblock is thrown up in her relationship with Alex (recurring guest star DIEGO BONETA -- 90210, Mean Girls 2); Emily is hoping that an introduction to Maya during a tense family meal will smooth whatever apprehensions her parents may have; and blackmail is in the air as Aria and Ezra suspect a student is on to them.

Relationships are in flux in Rosewood as the girls face many obstacles. As Noel (recurring guest star BRANT DAUGHERTY) steps up his pursuit of Ezra, Aria and Ezra begin to feel like there may be no way out. Emily must also deal with opposition to her love life, as her mother Pam's (recurring guest star NIA PEEPLES -- Fame; Walker, Texas Ranger; Barbershop) perceived tolerance of Maya comes to a screeching halt. And Spencer must now handle the return of happy newlyweds Melissa (recurring guest star TORREY DeVITTO) and Ian (recurring guest star RYAN MERRIMAN -- The Pretender, The Ring Two), even though her suspicions of Ian's ties to Alison grow. Meanwhile, "A" has Hanna jumping through old hoops with regard to the stolen money. Will Hanna fall back into her old ways, or does she have the will power to stand up to "A" and her games? With the support of each other, however, and unexpected help from an unlikely source, the future for the girls doesn't look so hopeless.

As the school gets ready for the dance-a-thon, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer have more on their minds than just raising money for the school trip to Washington, D.C. Hanna is having a hard time finding a job to help her family's financial situation; will she be able to refuse when "A" has a job for her? Emily can only think of Maya and is so desperate to speak to her that she enlists the help of Caleb (recurring guest star TYLER BLACKBURN -- Rockville CA), the new bad boy at school. Meanwhile, Aria's former babysitter, Simone (guest star ALONA TAL -- Supernatural), comes back to town for a surprise visit, but what should be a happy reunion quickly becomes a nightmare for Aria when Simone sets her sights on Ezra. And, as an important piece of property goes missing, Spencer finds being in close quarters with her new brother-in-law, Ian (recurring guest star RYAN MERRIMAN), more difficult than ever.

The girls try to resume a sense of normalcy in their lives, but even the simple tasks of dating and extracurricular activities meet with strife. Emily must deal with a jealous teammate, Paige (recurring guest star LINDSEY SHAW -- 10 Things I Hate About You, Aliens in America, Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide), who is threatened by Emily's return to the pool, as Aria and Ezra plan their first date out in the open. And Hanna is still stuck playing "A's" game, but the next hurdle might just have complications for one of the other girls. With "A" pulling the strings and making matters worse, will the girls be able to weather the storm and lie their way out of it, or will they have to face the ugly truths? Meanwhile, Spencer turns to Alison's brother, Jason (recurring guest star PARKER BAGLEY), for information about the night they believe Alison died, only to have to face part of her unpleasant past with Ali.

A crucial swim meet for the Rosewood Sharks is the setting where Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer experience a lot of turmoil. Emily and Paige (recurring guest star LINDSEY SHAW) go for round two, as they are pitted against each other to compete for the anchor leg of the big race. Plus, Caleb (recurring guest star TYLER BLACKBURN) calls in his favor with a guilty Hanna as she tries to deter Aria from asking too many questions about Ella's ticket to the museum opening. As secrets start to be revealed and antagonists become less threatening, could the game be changing for the girls? Meanwhile, Spencer takes on the task of tutoring a fellow student to try and get some answers.

What happens to one little liar when parent-teacher conferences come around and her father sits face to face with the love of her life? What about when another one reaches out to a tarnished innocent, when nobody else will? And what about the liar who is taken by surprise by an unpleasant person? Lastly, don't forget about the liar who is getting way too comfortable with someone she might not want to trust. Whatever the situation, "A" is certain to have something to say about it. Oh, just another normal day in Rosewood, PA, for Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer.

As their doubts, fears and suspicions grow, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer start to wonder what the true face of evil looks like. Is it the girl who holds a grudge and will do anything to keep her loved ones near? Is it the new brother-in-law who might have a darker side beneath the surface? Or is it an unknown stranger who is playing puppet master with the lives of four girls? Only time will tell who the bad seed is. Meanwhile, Aria views the school play as an opportunity to get closer to Ezra. But will her plan backfire and put her relationship in jeopardy?

After a shocking revelation from the police, the spotlight is turned on four little liars who look to be crying wolf. But with everything pointing to Ian (recurring guest star RYAN MERRIMAN), how could the girls be wrong? Or could this be just another game "A" is playing with them? With the cops now demanding answers from Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer, will the girls come clean about "A," or are some secrets better left unspoken? Meanwhile, secret relationships take a toll on some of the girls while blossoming for others. Love is not for the faint of heart.

Everyone has a secret in Rosewood and it's only a matter of time before it is revealed. Four girls know this to be especially true and are reminded of it on a daily basis. As the police turn up the heat and make Spencer an official "person of interest," maybe the girls should take a closer look at those around them. The boy one has given her heart to may have ulterior motives; the girl they have wronged may not be as innocent as they think; and the person another likes may make a rash decision that cuts to the bone. All are things that the girls should take into account ... before "A" does. Meanwhile, Ella and Byron try to decide what the latest development in their relationship means for them and their family.

Rosewood's Founders Festival sets the stage for more secrets. Everyone has something to hide — whether it is a secret romance, or revealing a true identity and true intentions. For Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer, keeping things hidden is second nature, but having to live with those secrets can become a big burden. How long can Aria be with someone when they can't go out in public? Is it a true friendship when Spencer and Toby aren't able to be seen together? How truthful can Emily be when she can't be honest about whom she wants to be with? And how can Hanna move on when secretly she wants to be with the one who broke her heart? With someone like "A" out there to watch their every move, the four girls may not have to worry about keeping things hidden for too much longer.

In the season one finale, now that Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer are in possession of the information that Alison left them, the girls decide that it's time to finally put an end to "A" and the mystery surrounding their friend. But without certain proof that their hunch is right, how can the girls catch "A" in his/her own game? With little more than a video and hazy memories of the night that Alison disappeared, the girls may have to turn to an unlikely source of information to help them put a stop to "A" once and for all — or so they think.

The girls are the talk of the town — and not in a good way. Ian's (recurring guest star RYAN MERRIMAN) body is missing and, with the entire town of Rosewood questioning exactly what happened the night before at the church, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer have a lot of explaining to do. Their parents — and the police — aren't quite sure what to believe, so the girls' parents rally together to try and help the four out with the assistance of a therapist (guest star ANNABETH GISH -- Mystic Pizza, Brotherhood, The X-Files). Forced to talk out their problems, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer feel more alone than ever. Even with the reassurance that everything they discuss won't leave the therapist's office, can the liars finally tell someone about "A?" Or is there no place safe from "A's" watchful eye?

With the girls being forced to go their separate ways for a bit, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer need each other now more than ever. Emily struggles with her family's impending move to Texas, but when a college athletic scout approaches her after a swim meet, she sees an opportunity that could keep her in Rosewood. Plus, Hanna's father returns to town — with her friends at arm's length, will Hanna forgive Mona (recurring guest star JANEL PARRISH -- Bratz) so she has someone to lean on? Spencer tries to be supportive of Toby's (recurring guest star KEEGAN ALLEN) new plans to free himself of his family and Rosewood. Meanwhile, on the eve of Ezra's last day at Rosewood High, he begs Aria to meet him so they can work things out. Aria, on the other hand, is not so sure there's anything left to say. But is she really ready to say goodbye to Mr. Fitz for good?

As Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer try to keep their distance from each other, each girl looks to distractions to help fulfill the "separate time" request from their parents. Aria channels her inner artist and signs up for a pottery class at Hollis College. Not only does the class qualify as "separate time," but it also gives her an excuse to see Ezra on campus, so there are benefits on both sides — that is, until she finds out Jenna is also taking the class. Emily stays focused on her swimming career and how that could help her stay in Rosewood, but when she doesn't get the solid commitment from Danby University, she comes up with a way to fudge things to convince her mom to stay. But will goody-two-shoes Emily be able to go through with her sneaky plan? Feeling like the only one who doesn't have a hobby, Hanna turns to Lucas to see if she can join the yearbook staff to fill her time.

Lucas (recurring guest star BRENDAN ROBINSON) starts to unravel as the date with his new dream girl approaches — which Hanna arranged for him — so Hanna feels the need to help him out. But when Caleb (recurring guest star TYLER BLACKBURN) is thrown into the mix and Hanna's idea of what is helpful starts to backfire, Lucas' date takes a downward turn. With Emily's mother blaring to the world about her scholarship commitment, Emily is at the edge of spilling the truth behind the fake letter. But with some help from a surprisingly supportive Samara (recurring guest star CLAIRE HOLT -- Mean Girls 2, H2O: Just Add Water), maybe the situation isn't as dire as Emily once thought.

As the shocking news about Ian (recurring guest star RYAN MERRIMAN) makes the rounds through Rosewood, Aria, Emily, Hanna, Spencer and their families all try to cope with the outcome and some much needed closure. With her home life particularly in turmoil, Spencer stays focused on her family and the surprising support she gets from her parents. Emily, on the other hand, can't seem to find the closure that others are relishing; rather, she digs her heels in to find any shred of evidence they may have overlooked. Aria looks to find comfort in Ezra, but with their relationship still new to the outside world, the couple struggles to be so public so fast. With everyone sharing a huge sigh of relief, could Emily be right — that the devil they think has been put to rest is nowhere near the evil that still looms out there and is out to get the girls? Meanwhile, Hanna gets a surprising look into Caleb's (recurring guest star TYLER BLACKBURN) life after his shady foster mother surfaces.

On the eve of the Rosewood Charity Fashion Show, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer are surprised when Alison's mother, Jessica DiLaurentis (guest star ANDREA PARKER -- The Pretender, Less than Perfect), returns to town and requests that they participate in the show on Alison's behalf. Aria takes up the opportunity to try and help jog Jason's (recurring guest star DREW VAN ACKER) memory of the night Ali disappeared, as Hanna starts to get her hopes up that her father's attendance may mean more than he's letting on. Spencer, on the other hand, quickly learns that while she has been dealing with larger issues, Mona (recurring guest star JANEL PARRISH) has stepped in and taken charge of running the event. As the charity event gets closer, walking down a runway in a fancy gown may not seem that hard — but nothing is ever easy for four pretty little liars. Meanwhile, Emily re-evaluates her casual dating stance when it starts to look like Samara (recurring guest star CLAIRE HOLT) might be dating someone else.

It's moving day for Emily and, with a new place to call home, she is feeling more like a guest than part of the family. Hanna is also feeling uneasy, but for her it is in regards to Caleb's (recurring guest star TYLER BLACKBURN) continued shady "business" dealings and his nonchalant attitude about it. And when Toby (recurring guest star KEEGAN ALLEN) makes a surprising discovery, Spencer is thrown for a loop by the find — and her father's reaction to it. With the girls already on edge, could they be sitting targets for "A's" next move? Or does "A" have bigger plans for the four and is just making them wait? Meanwhile, Aria is put in a tricky position when both Ezra and Jason (recurring guest star DREW VAN ACKER) are invited to the Montgomery dinner party and vie for her attention when the soiree goes awry.

Emily has been juggling a lot of secrets and lies lately and, when her father pays her a surprise visit before a big swim meet, the pressure gets to be too much, sending her to the hospital. But with the prospect of having to come clean to her father about Danby, Emily realizes she has bigger problems when "A" reveals a part in Emily's swim career. While visiting Emily, Spencer and Aria take the opportunity to try and do more digging around about the cause of Alison's death and how the broken field hockey stick may play a part in the last few moments of their friend's life. Meanwhile, Hanna struggles with the prospect of losing both men in her life when her father's "Save the Date" for his wedding arrives, and the possibility of Caleb (recurring guest star TYLER BLACKBURN) leaving Rosewood before his past can come back to haunt him.

Since Jason DiLaurentis (recurring guest star DREW VAN ACKER) came back to Rosewood, there have been a lot of questions about him. Some don't trust him and are suspicious of his motives for returning, while others see him in a different light. Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer are no different. Spencer is determined to find out what Jason is hiding at his house and decides to finally get some answers. With Emily in tow, Spencer makes her move — but are they ready to deal with what they find out? Aria, on the other hand, can't seem to get Jason off her mind for a different reason. With Jason continuing to pop up in Aria's life, will she be able to resist their undeniable chemistry? Meanwhile, Hanna helps Caleb (recurring guest star TYLER BLACKBURN) with a difficult decision about his family, which in turn could help put her relationship with her father into perspective.

Aria finds herself in a difficult position when trying to process Spencer and Emily's news about Jason (recurring guest star DREW VAN ACKER), while dealing with what happened at the park and her undeniable feelings for him. How could Jason be the dangerous person that her friends say he is, when he has shown nothing but compassion and vulnerability to her? With Aria waffling on her stance on Jason, Spencer decides drastic times call for drastic measures. But will Spencer's actions help Aria to see Jason for who Spencer thinks he really is, or will it only push Aria closer to Jason? Meanwhile, Hanna finds herself in a different kind of prickly situation when she tries to play nice with her future stepsister, Kate (recurring guest star NATALIE HALL -- The Good Wife, All My Children), only to have things go horribly wrong. Plus, "A" turns up the heat on Emily by trying to push her to a breaking point.

After being pushed around, threatened and more by "A," Emily is at a breaking point and her friends know that something drastic has to be done to save her. The girls turn to the only person they have come to trust and know that she can't let their secrets out: Dr. Anne Sullivan (recurring guest star ANNABETH GISH). Finally being able to reveal the torment that "A" has put them through to someone outside of the tight-knit group gives the girls a sense of relief and Emily a new sense of courage. But with the cat being out of the bag, has a weight really been lifted off their shoulders, or could it possibly have just provoked a beast? And now that Dr. Sullivan is aware of "A" and what the girls have been put through, could she be next on "A's" target list? Meanwhile, Hanna's grandmother, Regina (guest star BETTY BUCKLEY -- Oz; Tony Award winner) comes to town to stir up trouble for Tom's (recurring guest star ROARK CRITCHLOW -- V) rehearsal dinner.

Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer have made a crucial mistake — they told someone about "A" and now they must pay the price. With the clock ticking and "A" calling the shots, the girls are sent on missions to do "A's" bidding in order to save their trusted confidant. Each mission will ultimately lead to what the four liars want the most, but at a costly price to their loved ones and themselves. Can Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer go through with their given tasks, or will they ignore "A" to save those around them from being hurt? And, ultimately, will this matter when all is said and done? Nothing is ever as it seems in Rosewood, PA.

The streets of Rosewood are festive, little kids are running around the streets hoping for a good year of trick or treats, and five best friends are looking forward to the biggest party of the season. It is the Halloween before Alison went missing and the only concern for Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer is to score an invite to Noel Khan's (recurring guest star BRANT DAUGHERTY -- Super Sportlets, Private) Halloween party. But with a new girl in town to challenge Ali for Queen Bee dominance, the possibility of Spencer losing the election for class president — along with her parents' approval — and a shocking revelation for Aria about her father, there may be more to worry about this Halloween than finding the perfect costume. With all of the tricks and treats floating around Rosewood, there may be something more sinister waiting out there for Ali and her best friends.

A month has passed since Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer were arrested and a lot has changed in Rosewood ... and with the girls. They are at each others' throats and no longer are they mighty best friends. Emily has been iced out completely. But what could have divided them so severely? Has "A" finally won the game of divide and conquer? With Emily now truly on her own, is she ripe for "A's" picking?

After their recent encounter with "A," Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer think they may be closer than ever to figuring out the identity of "A." But when the girls decide to enlist Caleb's (recurring guest star TYLER BLACKBURN) hacking skills to help with their quest, Hanna no longer wants to be a part of the plan. The last thing Hanna wants is to get Caleb involved in something else shady and she also doesn't want to open the door to questions that Hanna can't answer. But once the girls realize that "A" has a helper, Hanna has no other choice. Instead of focusing on figuring out who the "helper" is, though, Hanna decides to put all of her efforts into throwing a surprise party for Caleb. But will a surprise party at Spencer's lake house be the diversion Hanna is looking for, or just a recipe for disaster? Meanwhile, Aria and Ezra must deal with the aftermath of coming clean.

With Lucas (recurring guest star BRENDAN ROBINSON) missing and questions surrounding what happened out on the lake, Hanna can barely catch her breath. Caleb (recurring guest star TYLER BLACKBURN) is determined to find his friend, but Hanna's reluctance to help only causes more problems. Can Hanna really tell Caleb what happened in the boat without tipping him off to her larger "A" problem? And if she did tell him, would he be willing to stick around after hearing all the horrible things Hanna has done? Meanwhile, Spencer follows a lead about "A" which guides her to an unexpected place and revelation.

The best way to get to someone is through the people they love, and "A" knows this better than anyone. Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer have had to sacrifice a lot at the gloved hands of "A," especially when it comes to love. Toby (recurring guest star KEEGAN ALLEN) continues to pursue Spencer, knowing that she is keeping something from him. With another "accident" possibly occurring at any minute, Spencer is desperate to keep Toby safe. Also worried about her relationship, Hanna begs the other girls to stop using Caleb (recurring guest star TYLER BLACKBURN) to help with their search. The more involved Caleb gets, the bigger a target he becomes. But is the valuable information Caleb is finding more important to the others than Caleb's safety? Meanwhile, Aria is desperate to save her relationship with Ezra, who is still not returning her calls.

After putting her foot down about Caleb (recurring guest star TYLER BLACKBURN) with her friends, Hanna begins to feel that she is getting the cold shoulder from them. Aria, Emily and Spencer seem to be up to something, but she can't quite seem to figure out what it is. But what Hanna may take as the cold shoulder, could really be just a case of guilty consciences from her friends. And if her best friends avoiding her weren't enough, Kate's (recurring guest star NATALIE HALL -- All My Children) first day at Rosewood High is looming. Now that her evil stepsister is invading Hanna's space, she needs her friends more than ever. But is Aria ready to face her former tormentor and, more to the point, is Mona ready to give Aria the answers the girls are desperately looking for? Meanwhile, someone from Alison and Jason's (recurring guest star DREW VAN ACKER) past arrives in Rosewood and piques the girls' interest.

Emily is struggling to deal not only with the loss of Maya (guest star BIANCA LAWSON), but the knowledge that someone drugged her "that night" and how it has now affected Paige (recurring guest star LINDSEY SHAW). Going to make amends with Paige and try to explain the drugged flask ends up leading Emily to more insight of what she did "that night." Also, in trying to help Emily out, Spencer turns to Caleb to help crack into a website that might hold answers for them all. Meanwhile, Aria realizes she knows very little about Ezra after meeting his mother and Hanna makes a plea on Mona's behalf.

Spencer and Aria find themselves at Noel (recurring guest star BRANT DAUGHERTY) and Eric (guest star ROBBIE AMELL -- Revenge) Kahn's party in hopes of saving Spencer's college career. What originally was going to be a quick stop by the party to ask a favor of CeCe's (guest star VANESSA RAY -- Damages) friend turns into an opportunity for Aria and Spencer to get some answers from Jenna (recurring guest star TAMMIN SURSOK) with a heated game of "Truth." But will Aria and Spencer be willing to give up some of their "truths" to get the answers they are looking for? Meanwhile, Hanna gets another text from "A" about Caleb.

After learning that Noel (recurring guest star BRANT DAUGHERTY) and his family's cabin had something to do with "that night," and possibly the disappearance of Maya (recurring guest star BIANCA LAWSON), the girls work to try and put the pieces together. Hanna and Emily head out to the Kahn family cabin looking for clues linking Maya to the site, while Spencer does some snooping of her own on Noel. Could Noel have had a hand in this after all, or are he and Jenna (recurring guest star TAMMIN SURSOK) just bluffing to send Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer down the wrong path? Meanwhile, Aria must deal with the aftermath of meeting Ezra's mom and the information about Ezra's past.

But once aboard the Rosewood Ghost Train, the girls are in for much more than just some childish tricks or treats. With "A" running amuck and unexpected party-goers popping up at every turn, this Halloween event becomes one killer party. Hanna, on the other hand, is preoccupied with helping her mother after Ashley is involved in a hit-and-run accident. Now having a new secret to hide, Hanna wonders if "A" had something to do with it after all. With Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer now really afraid, does "A" have them right where "A" wants them? Meanwhile, Aria has to come to terms with Ezra's new life with Malcolm.

Hanna is thrown into the middle of Caleb's family drama when Jamie's (recurring guest star BERNARD CURRY -- Home and Away) shady past comes back to haunt him. Emily is determined to prove Spencer wrong in hopes of helping her, but she might not be ready for what she finds. But before they can hightail it out of Ravenswood, they make a shocking discovery that proves everything they thought they knew about "A" and the "A" team might be wrong. With this discovery, the Liars may just have started "World War A." Meanwhile, a joyous reunion between Hanna and her mother is cut short when "A" sets sights on a new target. And Toby (recurring guest star KEEGAN ALLEN) uncovers some surprising information about Wren (recurring guest star JULIAN MORRIS).

In the special Halloween episode, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer crash the Ravenswood Founders Day Celebration after a clue in "A's" new lair suggests that Ali may indeed be alive. Dressed in their finest Edwardian wear, the ladies hit the creepy cemetery party to find Ali before "A" can. But if Ali is truly alive, could the PLLs be leading "A" straight to their friend without knowing it? With Ezra lurking in the shadows, "A" may be closer than the girls realize. Meanwhile, Caleb heads to Ravenswood to help the girls and meets kindred soul Miranda (guest star NICOLE GALE ANDERSON -- Beauty and the Beast, Make It or Break It) along the way.

Armed with the knowledge that Alison is alive, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer now have more questions than ever before. Trying to put the pieces together, Hanna comes up with the idea that if they find out who is really buried in Ali's grave it may lead to much-needed answers. But as the girls search, Emily has trouble dealing with how she feels about Alison being alive. Meanwhile, Caleb returns to Rosewood, and Ezra has clandestine meetings with Mona and Aria.

Now that Hanna has shared with Aria, Emily and Spencer that she has Ali's diary, the girls hope it can shed light on their many questions. But with the diary full of stories that have been coded to cover the truth, each girl must take a turn to figure out which stories are about them. Hopefully, when they are through they will find the story that could finally give them answers to who has been going after Alison. But with each story more personal than the last, will Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer really want to admit which story is about them? Meanwhile, Spencer is suspicious of her father's (recurring guest star NOLAN NORTH) latest interaction with Mrs. DiLaurentis (recurring guest star ANDREA PARKER).

Shana (recurring guest star AERIEL MIRANDA) tells Emily that she has a message from Ali, but can Emily and the girls trust Shana with all that they know about her? And when Shana ups the stakes and says that Ali wants to meet Emily — and only Emily — could it all be part of an "A" plan, or is Emily really Alison's favorite? With Emily becoming more hopeful by the minute, Spencer is determined to not let her friend get hurt. Meanwhile, Aria and Hanna deal with matters of the heart.

Hanna's new interest in crime novels helps her to come up with a plan to try and figure out whose body is in Ali's grave. While Hanna is on her hunt, Spencer is working overtime to decipher the stories in Ali's diary which she hopes will reveal the identity of Ali's mystery man. But with both girls hot on the trail, will their work lead them straight into the path of "A"? Meanwhile, Aria is upset with the new friend Mike (recurring guest star CODY ALLEN CHRISTIAN) has made and Emily's dad (recurring guest star ERIC STEINBERG) is concerned about her behavior.

With Spencer's possible revelation about Board Shorts, she is now more determined than ever to prove her theory before bringing it to the other girls' attention — especially since it could have a devastating effect on one of the Liars. But with many sleepless nights fueled by prescription medication, Hanna starts to notice Spencer's odd behavior. Will Detective Hanna be able to figure out Spencer's secret before Spencer is ready to share? Meanwhile, Emily looks to make amends with Alison through Shana (recurring guest star AERIEL MIRANDA), and all of Aria's lies start to take a toll on her.

This special black-and-white episode gives a nod to 1940s-era film noir as Spencer's numerous sleepless nights with the help of prescription pills start to take a toll on her, as her hunt for Ali and much-needed answers continues. As she pours over newly acquired information, her world view takes a turn into black and white. Now teleported into the world of film noir, Spencer tries to come up with the answers she and her friends have been desperately looking for. But in this world of fedora hats, switchboards and 15-cent coffee, can Spencer finally put all of the pieces together that lay in front of her?

Spencer is determined to finally tell Aria what she has found out about Ezra, but Emily and Hanna are worried about what it could do to their friend. A wrench is thrown into the plan when Ezra tells Aria of his concern and suspicion of Spencer's recent addiction problem. Now with Spencer's credibility being questioned, can the girls trust what Spencer has been telling them about Ezra? Could this all be a figment of Spencer's tired brain, or is it just a clever ploy by Ezra to cover his tracks?

Emily, Hanna and Spencer are concerned for Aria as they watch their friend crumble after learning shocking news about Ezra. Not knowing what is true or who to trust, Aria goes looking for answers, not wanting to believe this revelation to be true. Spencer is concerned for Aria, but she is not doing so well herself. Trying to prove to her parents and Toby (recurring guest star KEEGAN ALLEN) that she can kick the habit on her own, Spencer has to be careful because one misstep could send her to rehab. Can Spencer really rein it in, or will her constant curiosity and drive be her undoing? Meanwhile, Paige (recurring guest star LINDSEY SHAW) has had enough with Emily's secrets and is determined to stop it.

Emily takes up the sleuthing reins as she searches for answers about Ezra and Mona. After confronting both, Emily tries to make sense of the heartbreaking situation. Hanna, on the other hand, begins a new search after being confronted by Detective Holbrook (recurring guest star SEAN FARIS) and Lieutenant Tanner (recurring guest star ROMA MAFFIA) with a possible new lead in Alison's case. Meanwhile, Spencer and Aria lean on new men in their lives to recover.

It is a rough time for all of the Liars as Spencer is reeling about the memories from her "lost summer," Aria is still nursing a broken heart, Emily struggles to deal with Paige's (recurring guest star LINDSEY SHAW) betrayal and Hanna unsuccessfully attempts to wade back into the dating pool. But as each girl tries to deal with her individual issues, they must focus their attention on their suspicions surrounding Mrs. DiLaurentis (recurring guest star ANDREA PARKER). Assuming that Mrs. D knows more about Ali and the night she went missing, the girls decide to help out at her charity bridal fashion show to gain access to the DiLaurentis house to search for answers. Meanwhile, Ella (recurring guest star HOLLY MARIE COMBS) and Jason (recurring guest star DREW VAN ACKER) return to Rosewood, each with something to hide.

In the fourth season finale, after years of questions and mystery surrounding the night Alison DiLaurentis disappeared, her four best friends come face to face with Ali and finally learn what really happened to her that September night. Now, with their newfound knowledge of Ali's long-held secrets, can Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer help Alison finally figure out who "A" is?

In the season five premiere, which takes place in the moments following the shocking season four finale, Aria and the Liars are reeling from Ezra's (series star IAN HARDING) shooting at the hands of "A." The five girls quickly realize that as the one person who knows "A's" identity, Ezra is in grave danger. While Aria stands watch over Ezra at the hospital, Alison and the other girls lay a trap to finally flush out "A," but are shocked by who is ensnared. Meanwhile, Detective Holbrook (recurring guest star SEAN FARIS) steps up his efforts to find the girls and puts the Hastings family on alert. And as news of Alison's "resurrection" spreads — that she is truly alive and returning to Rosewood — Mona Vanderwaal (series star JANEL PARRISH) is not pleased.

Back in Rosewood with the events of New York behind them, the Liars feel unsettled to still be living under a cloud of secrets. Aria is haunted by the recent past events, while Emily, Hanna and Spencer try to wrap their head around the new normal. Alison, on the other hand, is still sleeping with one eye open as she is forced to stay at home with her family — who she doesn't trust. Meanwhile, Jason's (recurring guest star DREW VAN ACKER) odd behavior and Kenneth DiLaurentis' (recurring guest star JIM ABELE) search for Jessica (recurring guest star ANDREA PARKER) starts to raise eyebrows about her disappearance.

Now being forced to live through Ali's latest lie, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer try to cover their tracks, while simultaneously trying to piece together what happened in New York. Hanna and Aria have to close loose ends with the two people who know the truth about Ali's story, Mona and Ezra. Spencer and Emily try to find out the truth about Jason (recurring guest star DREW VAN ACKER) and his whereabouts the night they were in New York. Meanwhile, now that Ali is back, Hanna starts to examine who she really is: Hefty Hanna or Queen Bee Hanna.

With Alison now back in Rosewood, she attempts to regain the role of leader of the group, but she finds her four friends are not as willing to blindly follow her every whim as they once were. Besides feeling the pressure from Ali, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer are also feeling under the microscope at school as the high school focuses their attention on the Liars. While most kids are morbidly curious about what happened to Ali, some are more focused on planning for Ali's return to school. Meanwhile, Aria's depression continues to spiral, and she looks for comfort from an unlikely source.

The day has finally arrived: It's Alison's first day back at Rosewood High and neither the Liars nor Alison are really ready for it. Determined to put on a brave face, Alison also hopes to help heal the damage she did years ago. But are apologies enough for those who Alison has hurt in the past? Not if Mona and her army have anything to say about it. Meanwhile, Caleb and an old foe return to Rosewood.

With the town of Rosewood trying to get back to normal, the PLLs — especially Ali — are far from okay after the latest "accident." Alison is especially spooked and thinking that it wasn't the right decision to come home after all, she starts to consider leaving for good. But Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer are determined to keep her safe in Rosewood and to figure out who and what is behind this latest incident. Meanwhile, Caleb also starts second-guessing his return, and Ezra dives into his research to help find answers.

Aria begins her volunteer work at Radley and quickly gets down to business finding any answers she can about a patient who is of interest to the Liars. But she quickly hits a snag when she comes across an aggressive patient that may be the key to what the Liars are looking for. Also searching for answers, Spencer takes a note from Ezra's playbook by borrowing some of his spy equipment to keep a closer eye on the home front. Meanwhile, Hanna is caught at odds when Ali and Caleb butt heads, and Emily seeks help from her friends when her mom invites Ali over for dinner.

Hanna’s insecurities and current situation continue to plague her when Alison moves into the Marin house while her Dad is out of town. Now forced to live with Alison — the one person she is trying to avoid — Hanna retreats further into abusing alcohol and ends up in a sticky situation. Meanwhile, Aria drops the ball on her maid of honor duties when Ella returns to town to plan her wedding and Spencer and Emily pursue a dangerous lead, trying to solve the mystery of the dead girl in Alison’s grave.

Hanna continues down her boozy path, with the help of Caleb, but her friends can no longer stand by and watch Hanna self-destruct. After her last encounter with Hanna, Aria starts to take note of Zack (recurring guest star STEVE TALLEY) and wonders if Hanna — while drunk — was telling her the truth. Meanwhile, Emily tries to find information linking Alison to Noel (recurring guest star BRANT DAUGHERTY) and Spencer makes a surprising discovery at the eye doctor. Recurring guest stars include CHAD LOWE as Byron, HOLLY MARIE COMBS as Ella, TAMMIN SURSOK as Jenna and CHLOE BRIDGES (The Carrie Diaries) as Sydney.

The pressure is on for Alison to identify the man police have in custody for her kidnapping, but the Liars know if she does it would be sending an innocent man to prison and possibly walking right into an “A” trap. With Emily trying to convince Ali not to play into “A’s” hand, Spencer comes up with a plan B, in case Ali decides to make the wrong decision. Meanwhile, fed up with all of the Ali drama, Hanna tries to lead a “normal” teenage life.

Melissa (recurring guest star TORREY DeVITTO) finally tells Spencer what she knows regarding the night Ali disappeared. But what is Spencer supposed to do with the knowledge? Knowing something is off about Alison’s story, Emily is on the hunt for answers of her own. She enlists Ezra’s help in finding out more about Cyrus and his past connection to Alison. Meanwhile, Hanna asks Spencer and Toby (recurring guest star KEEGAN ALLEN) for help with Caleb’s drinking problem.

With Alison leading them down a dangerous path and “A” barring them from telling the police the truth, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer feel trapped and are desperate to find a way out of this mess. But could the girls lose everything by putting their faith in a possibly untrustworthy ally? Meanwhile, Alison begins to build up her own army now that the PLLs have turned their back on her.

Christmas is quickly approaching, and all of Rosewood is full of merriment — except for Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer, who aren’t feeling much holiday cheer after the loss of Mona and Spencer’s murder charge looming over them. But when an opportunity presents itself with the chance to get evidence to clear Spencer’s name, the girls and their partners devise a plan to get justice for Mona and finally bring Alison down. If the plan is successful, it could be a very merry Christmas after all. Meanwhile, Alison gets a glimpse at the past, present and future by a ghostly presence.

Three months have passed, and Mona’s friends and family are still mourning their loss and more adamant than ever that Alison had something to do with Mona’s death. Ready to put “A’s” game to an end and get justice for Mona, the PLLs ramp up their search for evidence that could prove Alison killed Mona. But with Alison claiming her innocence and having a seemingly airtight alibi, the Liars may have to resort to more shady tactics to put Ali away. Meanwhile, Emily and Paige (recurring guest star LINDSEY SHAW) reach a crossroads in their relationship, and Aria starts to worry about her future.

Toby’s (recurring guest star KEEGAN ALLEN) new position in the Rosewood police department was to give the PLLs an upper hand on finally closing the door to Ali/”A’s” game. But when a surprising bit of evidence appears, Toby is put in a difficult position with his job and with Spencer. Not one to trust the police or evidence “surprisingly” showing up, Spencer tries to convince Toby to stray from his moral gut reaction, which puts stress on their relationship. Meanwhile, Emily and Aria take drastic measures to keep control of situations that are out of their hands and could affect their future.

Secrets are hard to keep, especially when you are keeping them from a loved one. Spencer searches for Mona’s missing laptop with Caleb’s help, but where the search leads them could cross the “Toby approved” line. Aria tries to get up the courage to come clean to Ezra about her lie when she gets diverted by a possible goose chase. And Hanna is stuck in the middle having to cover Ashley’s secret when Pastor Ted (recurring guest star ED KERR) returns with big news. Meanwhile, Emily has to put up with Talia’s (recurring guest star MIRANDA RAE MAYO – The Game) annoying suggestions at work, as she struggles to come to terms with the end of her relationship with Paige (recurring guest star LINDSEY SHAW).

Suspecting that Alison/“A” is out to frame her for Mona’s murder, Hanna is not willing to just sit by and let it happen. Caleb and Hanna’s friends try to come up with a safe plan to get her off the hook, but it isn’t good enough for Hanna and, taking her fate into her own hands, she strikes out alone to clear her name. Meanwhile, relationships are tested when Aria comes clean to Ezra and Spencer’s shady actions continue to put Toby (recurring guest star KEEGAN ALLEN) in a bind at work.

Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer have been burned before by newcomers to Rosewood, so it’s no surprise they are wary when someone new crosses their path. Spencer lets down her guard a bit as she spends more time with Jonny (recurring guest star WILL BRADLEY), and Emily continues to try and figure out Talia (recurring guest star MIRANDA RAE MAYO) as she keeps getting mixed signals from her co-workers. When Mona’s friend Lesli (recurring guest star ELIZABETH McLAUGHLIN – The Clique) shows up in town, Hanna is tasked with finding out her back story to determine if Lesli is really who she says she is. Are the girls wise to keep an eye on everyone, or can they allow a bit of comfort room without worrying about an “A” trap? Meanwhile, Aria becomes concerned about Mike’s (recurring guest star CODY ALLEN CHRISTIAN) recent behavior and Holbrook (recurring guest star SEAN FARIS) returns to town.

It’s that time of year when senior high school students focus on their future college careers and feel the intense pressures that come along with it, and Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer are no different. Aria’s acceptance to college is contingent on her grades, so she needs to buckle down to improve them, and looks to Andrew (recurring guest star BRANDON W. JONES – The Fosters) for some tutoring help. Also having anxiety about her college acceptance, Spencer decides to take a break and help Jonny (recurring guest star WILL BRADLEY) with a new project. Hanna is doing just fine on her college acceptances, but when she finds out that she has been turned down for financial aid, she turns to her dad to help. Meanwhile, Aria and the girls try to keep tabs on Mike (recurring guest star CODY ALLEN CHRISTIAN) after their concerns increase following an incident at the school blood drive.

Determined to get college tuition money without the help of others, Hanna pushes forward with her quest to win the local beauty pageant and hires a pageant coach to ensure her win. Quickly learning that you have to be more than a pretty face to win the grand prize, Hanna turns to Emily for help. Also needing a little help, Aria asks Andrew (recurring guest star BRANDON W. JONES) to help keep tabs on Mike (recurring guest star CODY ALLEN CHRISTIAN), whose increasingly suspicious behavior suggests a chilling connection to Mona’s death. What Aria ultimately discovers makes her blood run cold. Meanwhile, Spencer decides to help Jonny (recurring guest star WILL BRADLEY) on a less than legal adventure.

Equipped with their new information about Mona, the Liars decide they need to speak to Alison. But once the truth is out there, Aria quickly learns that Mike’s (recurring guest star CODY ALLEN CHRISTIAN) involvement with Mona and this new revelation could have serious repercussions for her family. Determined to keep Mike safe and get Ali out of jail, the Liars intensify their search for information on “A.” Meanwhile, Spencer heads to London for an important college interview, and Alison looks to someone surprising for help with her murder trial.

Aria, Emily and Hanna keep looking for a way to prove Ali’s innocence without incriminating Mike (recurring guest star CODY ALLEN CHRISTIAN). But when the District Attorney proposes a plea bargain agreement for Ali that includes naming one of the PLLs as her accomplice, the girls intensify their search — not only to save Ali, but to save themselves. Will Ali stick by her story of innocence or will she give up one of the PLLs to save her own skin? Meanwhile, not knowing what is happening back in Rosewood, Spencer gets a much-needed break from all the drama with a night out on the town in London.

As Alison’s trial begins, the once-confident Queen Bee is no longer certain of her fate as testimony reveals not only her lies, but the lies of those close to her. Meanwhile, Spencer, Aria, Emily and Caleb search for information to clear the imprisoned Hanna, following a string of clues that might have been left by Mona, or possibly planted by “A.”

Alison’s trial is coming to a close and the outcome looks even more bleak when the prosecution calls a surprise witness that not only paints Alison in a bad light, but also the PLLs and Mike (recurring guest star CODY ALLEN CHRISTIAN). Desperate to find any evidence or witness to save their friends, Aria, Emily and Spencer race to find someone or something that can prove Ali’s innocence and put an end to this nightmare. Meanwhile, Mike becomes a target of “A” when it looks like he might be called to testify and Ezra and Caleb have differing opinions on what he should do.

“A” has always had fun playing with Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer, but now “they” have the biggest game to date in store for the girls. As shocking secrets come to light and the biggest clue to the “A” mystery is revealed, is this one plAydate the Liars can survive? It’s the beginning of all the answers with the biggest “A” reveal ever in the explosive season finale.

As the sixth season begins moments after the season five finale, Aria, Emily, Hanna, Spencer and Mona are trapped outside the “dollhouse” where their masked tormentor, Charles, has been keeping them — with nowhere to run. Angered by their attempted escape, Charles’ games take a more demented, darker turn. As the girls struggle to survive, Ezra (series star IAN HARDING), Caleb (series star TYLER BLACKBURN) and Toby (recurring guest star KEEGAN ALLEN) continue the fight to find the girls with or without the help of the Rosewood Police Department.

The girls may have gotten out of the Dollhouse, but what happened to them during their time of captivity has lasting effects. With worried loved ones watching over them, the PLLs are home and trying to heal — without much success. Even with suspected tormentor Andrew (recurring guest star BRANDON W. JONES) in custody, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer fear they are far from safe. Meanwhile, Alison must deal with her past indiscretions and her notoriety around Rosewood.

The girls’ lives have been turned upside down by their captivity and each one of them is looking for answers to make sense of their ordeal. Aria focuses on Andrew (recurring guest star BRANDON W. JONES) by trying to figure out who this boy really is, while Emily tries to connect with a new friend. In true Spencer fashion, she is on a mission to get answers about Charles from Ali and Jason (recurring guest star DREW VAN ACKER). Hanna wants to bring the four friends back together so they can move past what happened in the Dollhouse. Meanwhile, Alison is no longer the queen bee/mean girl she once was — but who is she now? A new friend tries to help her find the courage to start fresh and find the “new” Alison.

After lying to Alison and Jason (recurring guest star DREW VAN ACKER) about Charles, Kenneth DiLaurentis (recurring guest star JIM ABELE) comes clean about the family’s connection to the young boy. While he won’t give much detail about Charles’ past, he says enough to give the girls a clue of where to look for the missing pieces: Radley Sanitarium. With Radley now closed and its files shipped off to be shredded, the girls must act fast before all traces of Charles’ past disappear. Meanwhile, Caleb’s protective nature starts to pinch Hanna, and Spencer seeks a remedy for her sleeping issues.

Mona returns to Rosewood in a very fragile state as she must answer to the police for faking her death. Matters only get worse when she is confronted about Lesli’s (recurring guest star ELIZABETH McLAUGHLIN – The Clique) inadvertent involvement in Mona’s plot. Hanna is determined to help Mona out, not only to reassure her she is safe from Alison but also to try and repair Mona’s friendship with Lesli. Emily tries to help Sara (recurring guest star DRE DAVIS) with her troubled home life by encouraging her to explore the possibility of emancipation. Spencer, on the other hand, finds help from someone from her past. Meanwhile, Alison grows closer to Lorenzo (recurring guest star TRAVIS WINFREY) as she looks for support outside of her family.

With all signs pointing to Lesli (recurring guest star ELIZABETH McLAUGHLIN) as the tormentor in the hoodie, the PLLs are on a mission to get concrete proof before bringing their findings to the police. But as the girls ramp up their investigation, threats from “A” escalate. Meanwhile, a friend of Emily’s makes her a surprising offer, and Spencer is pressured by her family to make an important decision.

There are mixed emotions in the DiLaurentis household when Charles declares he is coming home for his birthday. Mr. DiLaurentis (recurring guest star JIM ABELE) wants to quickly get out of town to hide Ali and Jason (recurring guest star DREW VAN ACKER) from their brother, while Jason sees this as an opportunity to finally validate all of the early childhood memories he has of “Charlie.” The PLLs are just as torn, with Spencer and Hanna thinking this is the best chance they have to capture Charles, while Emily and Aria want to stay as far from him as possible. Will Jason be reunited with his brother, or is this just another trap from “A”? Meanwhile, Mona is shutting out Mike (recurring guest star CODY ALLEN CHRISTIAN) and Hanna gets an unwelcomed surprise.

After their latest run-in with Charles, tensions are at an all-time high with the PLLs and the town of Rosewood. Aria’s big moment of seeing her work displayed in an art gallery is in jeopardy as Ella (recurring guest star HOLLY MARIE COMBS) is determined to keep her safe at home. Hanna is still uncomfortable with the unexpected scholarship money and is determined to give it back, even if that means ruining her chances at going to her school of choice. To top it all off, due to security issues, Rosewood High is considering not letting the PLLs attend prom — the one normal high school rite of passage the girls are looking forward to. Meanwhile, the more Alison learns about her brother, the harder she finds it to connect a deranged murderer to the young blonde-haired boy she sees in the photos and in her memories.

It is prom time at Rosewood High — except for Alison, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer, who have been banned due to “security” concerns. As the girls take this as the final humiliating blow to their high school careers, the girls’ mothers try to make the best of a bad situation by offering a prom at home in Spencer’s barn. At first reluctant, the PLLs agree and try to make the best out of a bad situation. But Charles — who has never been one to miss a formal — has other plans in store to make this a night the girls will never forget. Meanwhile, Veronica (recurring guest star LESLEY FERA), Pam (recurring guest star NIA PEEPLES), Ella (recurring guest star HOLLY MARIE COMBS) and Ashley use prom night to touch base on everything that has happened to their daughters.

Who killed Toby’s mother? Who hit Alison in the head with the rock the night she went missing? Who is Red Coat? Who killed Bethany? Who is the Black Widow? Why has "A" been targeting the PLLs all this time? After years of torture and endless questions, Alison, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer finally come face to face with their tormentor and learn the story of how and why Charles became "A."

In advance of Pretty Little Liars’ winter premiere, the cast and crew sit down to discuss the highly anticipated series time jump in this one-hour, behind-the-scenes special. To give viewers a taste of what’s to come, the special episode will reveal what the Liars have been up to inside and outside of Rosewood over the past five years. In addition to featuring conversations surrounding new careers and love interests, the episode will feature interviews with the team behind the Liars’ new looks and their style evolution. Fans will also be offered a glimpse at brand-new PLL sets and two new scenes that won’t be seen anywhere else. After years of being tormented and numerous shocking revelations, the Liars finally uncovered the true identity of “A.” It’s now five years later, and that means a new look, new secrets … and new lies. The girls are not the same people they were when they left Rosewood. They’ve pursued their own paths and adjusted to a life without “A,” so how will they cope when something happens in Rosewood that forces them to go back to where it all started? Torn between their old habits and their new lives, the Liars must stay in town and join forces, as relationships are once again put to the test and new secrets are revealed.

Questions about the new mystery surface as the girls are forced to stay in Rosewood. A restless Aria starts to look suspicious as she heads back to Boston a little too quickly. But could Aria really be the one behind this? As Spencer, Emily and Hanna find themselves back in familiar territory, they aren’t happy to be going about solving this puzzle “the old way.” Meanwhile, Emily continues to lie about her life in California and Alison keeps a close eye on her friends.

Panic sets in for the Liars as the investigation turns to Radley. Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer find themselves back in familiar territory with the Rosewood Police Department knocking at their doors looking for answers, and their actions now affecting the loved ones around them. With her mother’s job on the line, Hanna tries to come up with an alibi that could save all four of them with the help of her old high school friend, Lucas (recurring guest star BRENDAN ROBINSON). Meanwhile, Emily comes clean about the last five years, and Aria goes the extra mile to keep Ezra’s second book in play with her boss.

With the Rosewood Police Department breathing down Hanna’s neck about the Radley security footage, she opts to confess the truth to those closest to her in hopes they can help. Aria continues to search for answers, with help from Emily, on whether Ezra is as guilty as he seems. Spencer works together with Caleb to track down the new threat. Meanwhile, there is awkwardness all around when new love interests emerge and old ones resurface.

Convinced that Sara Harvey (recurring guest star DRE DAVIS) is behind the new threats, the Liars work together to find evidence of Sara’s involvement before they go to the cops. Caleb puts together a plan with Hanna to fight back against the new stalker by using the security footage tapes. Meanwhile, Aria gets unexpected news from her family, and Ali comforts Emily in her time of need.

While new discoveries are made in the investigation of Charlotte’s murder, the truth begins to emerge about the Liars’ personal lives. Spencer is concerned to learn her mother (recurring guest star LESLEY FERA) is keeping a secret of her own. Aria confesses to Liam (recurring guest star ROBERTO AGUIRE) how deeply she’s involved with Ezra’s book. Ali admits that she and Elliott (recurring guest star HUW COLLINS) are more than just friends. Mona reveals where her true allegiances lie, and Caleb, Spencer and Hanna deal with the complications of new relationships. Meanwhile, Emily and Hanna each receive shocking threats that elevate the seriousness of the situation.

As romantic relationships move forward, the Liars investigate a new suspect in the murder case. With Ezra back in Rosewood, Aria must tell him the truth about her involvement with his book. Spencer and Caleb deal with a media leak that affects the campaign. Hanna takes a look at her life after an incident at work. Emily gets harassed by the stalker while she continues the search for Sara. Meanwhile, wedding bells are ringing as two lovers finally tie the knot with the help of a special officiant.

After the stalker nearly killed Emily, the Liars begin to take the threats more seriously and attempt to keep their mouths shut to prevent any further harm. Caleb must deal with the collateral damage of taking the blame for the leak about Yvonne (recurring guest star KARA ROYSTER); Spencer tries to comfort him and get him to tell the truth. Emily goes on a mission to track down the person who came after her. Aria and Ezra move forward with the novel. Meanwhile, Hanna avoids dealing with her personal life.

After Alison is confronted with a sudden, mysterious jeopardy, the Liars — infuriated by the continual harassment — decide to take things into their own hands for a counterattack. Hanna and Caleb work together to develop a plan to come face to face with the tormentor. Emily and Spencer team up to investigate if Mona had any involvement with the murder. Aria and Ezra continue to work on the book, though it might be more difficult than anticipated. Meanwhile, Ali encounters an unexpected visitor.

With the stalker threatening to kill all of them if they don’t divulge Charlotte’s killer by the election, the Liars and company — at wit’s end — must boldly fight back. As Spencer and Toby (recurring guest star KEEGAN ALLEN) work together to catch Sara Harvey, Yvonne (recurring guest star KARA ROYSTER) wonders where Toby’s true affections lie. Ezra finishes the last chapter of his book, finally ready to say goodbye to Nicole; Aria comforts him during this emotional time and old feelings bubble to the surface. While Caleb works intently on his plan to protect Hanna, they reflect on what could have been. Meanwhile, Alison experiences strange visions from the dead and starts to question her sanity. Emily keeps tabs on Alison to make sure she’s okay.

In the seventh season premiere, it’s life or death for one of the PLLs. After Hanna’s kidnapping by “Uber A,” the PLLs and company desperately race against the clock to save one of their own — but the only way to do this is by handing over evidence of Charlotte’s real murderer to “Uber A.” In order to do so, the girls must decide what lines they are willing to cross, lines they have never breached before, because once they cross that line, there is no turning back.

With the fallout of Hanna’s abduction still weighing heavily on the PLLs, the Liars begin to grow suspicious of Elliott Rollins as Ali’s condition worsens. Tensions rise between Liam, Aria and Ezra as they work on the book together. Spencer and Caleb are on edge, as neither of them want to talk about the awkward elephant in the room. Meanwhile, Emily receives a disturbing phone call and tries to find a way to see Ali.

Still reeling from the trauma of Hanna’s abduction and dark fate, the Liars must shift their focus to another one of their own. In order to protect Alison from Uber A’s threats, the PLLs snap into action at a chance to rescue her from the hospital. However, in doing so, they make a deadly mistake that changes everything.

After making the biggest mistake of their lives, the girls must deal with the repercussions of what they’ve done, but their desperate attempt to cover up their secret, in turn, ends up straining their relationships with their respective bed buddies by keeping them in the dark. While the aftermath of Haleb’s kiss weighs on Spaleb’s relationship, Spencer copes in ways she might later regret. Mona intervenes with the cover-up plan, for better or worse.

Jenna returns to Rosewood and befriends another one of the Liars’ enemies, making her the PLL’s number one suspect for Uber A. In order to leave the psychiatric hospital, Ali must be released into the care of a relative, leaving her under the suspicious watch of Mary Drake. Spencer enlists Hanna’s help to search for Caleb, as he’s missing in action. Aria and Emily stumble upon a secret apartment they hope will lead them to more answers.

The Rosewood P.D. begins to unravel the Liars’ cover-up, which leads them to question Rollins’ death altogether. Hanna deals with an inward battle on whether or not to tell the cops the truth, while Ezria struggles with awkwardness in their relationship. Jenna reveals part of her plot and a new partner with whom she is in cahoots. Ali learns that the Liars revealed her as Charlotte’s killer to free Hanna, which does not go over well. Meanwhile, someone is murdered for playing with the wrong team.

Jason returns to town to stop Ali from getting too close to Mary. The girls learn something new about Mary and Mrs. DiLaurentis that leads them to a storm cellar full of clues. Ezra gets a call about someone in his past that could change his course. Noel Kahn grows more and more suspicious and rises to the top of the list of suspects for Uber A.

Emily pursues a position as the Rosewood High swim coach, only to learn that her ex-girlfriend Paige is also up for the job. Hanna is visited by Mrs. Grunwald after she has a vision that the PLLs are in danger. The girls track down the doctor who delivered Mary’s baby in order to get answers. Ali decides to go back to work to help bring some normalcy to her life again.

One of the PLLs goes rogue to prove that Noel Kahn is Uber A, while the others try to find evidence to back her theory and worry about her emotional state. Emily unexpectedly turns to Paige for comfort in her time of need, which causes tension in her other relationships. Jason and Aria team up to look into Mary’s past and what she might be hiding.

The PLLs confront old foes head-on and mayhem ensues in the summer finale of the hit original series. The Liars face off with their enemies in a chaotic fight that ends fatally. One of the PLLs learns a secret about her past that changes everything while another Liar discovers something about her future that could alter her course forever.

After Noel Kahn’s abrupt death, the Liars try putting their lives back together again in the first of the final ten episodes of Pretty Little Liars. Spencer focuses on learning more about her connection to Mary Drake, while Aria and Ezra figure out what their future may hold now that Nicole is back in the picture. Mona helps Hanna get her fashion career back on track, and Emily struggles to balance things between Ali and Paige now that the three of them are working at Rosewood High. Meanwhile, A.D. has a special delivery for the Liars, one that reveals the final endgame. The Liars realize this latest gift pushes things to a whole new level.

Could a high schooler be part of A.D.’s operation? Addison, a mini version of high school Ali, stirs up trouble. Emily butts heads with teenager Addison, who appears to be a new version of high school Ali, and who may be connected to a familiar foe. Spencer confronts her mother about keeping family secrets. Aria confides in Holden about her relationship with Ezra, while Spencer turns to Detective Furey for help. And Jenna stirs up even more trouble when she returns to Rosewood with some insight into Noel Kahn and recent events.

Hanna is sure Jenna is to blame for a recent professional setback and is forced to bring Caleb up to speed on current events. Aria and Emily team up to investigate Sydney for more information about Jenna and her connection to A.D. Spencer grows closer to Detective Furey, while Aria struggles with her current situation with Ezra. Hanna’s turn at the game is more intense than she bargained for and leads to shocking consequences.

Ali’s turn at the game forces her to face a monumental personal decision, made even more difficult when A.D. triggers Ali to remember a forgotten trauma. Spencer has a long overdue conversation with her father about his past sins and recent whereabouts. Emily continues to navigate working at Rosewood High with both Ali and Paige, especially when Ali comes to a troubling realization about her pregnancy, and Paige makes a big decision. Aria continues to question the fate of her relationship with Ezra and bristles under A.D.’s taunts. And, in the search for Mary Drake, Hanna and Spencer run into a familiar face with a shocking secret.

Emily wonders how she should handle the situation with Ally and their baby and Paige makes her feelings clear. Detective Fury continues to connect the dots regarding Dr. Rollins’ disappearance, and Spencer realizes she made a big mistake on the night she met Fury. The PLLs find a connection that leads them to suspect someone new could be A.D.. Later, Mona tries to help Hanna figure out A.D.’s board game and Aria and Ezra disagree on how to handle the Nicole.

The police pressure Spencer about Dr. Rollins’ disappearance, and Hanna and Caleb try to protect her. Aria sabotages Ally and Emily on orders from A.D. Ezra is told by their publisher that he should go on the press tour alone, and Aria knows why. Aria misses his event as she is out conducting A.D.’s dirty work. The PLLs start to believe they know who A.D. is, despite Hanna arguing otherwise.

A.D. continues ordering Aria to undertake increasingly extreme tasks against her friends. Detective Fury continues his investigation, despite facing a setback. Spencer learns troubling information regarding her and her parents’ past, and Mary Drake surprises Spencer with a visit and she makes him an offer. Caleb tells Hanna’s mother his intentions with her daughter. Emily and Mona confront the doctor who handled Emily’s eggs, demanding answers.

The Police serve warrants to search all the PLLs. Mona outs Aria for helping A.D. to the rest of the PLLs, and Aria tries to explain. Aria later learns new information about Dr. Rollins’ death. The PLLs start to consider the possibility they could be facing prosecution. Hanna and Caleb make strides in their relationship. Spencer and Toby spend a final night together, and Emily and Ally do the same. Aria threatens A.D. but he tells her it is too late and Aria soon realizes A.D. has set her up. Everyone thinks the game is over, but Caleb has tracked the game’s source through its phone signal.

The police continue their suspicion of the PLLs, and Aria comes up with a solution to help. When she tries to make the sacrifice, Ezra intervenes with a plan, but things quickly take an unexpected turn. Meanwhile, Ezra, Hanna and Spencer grow suspicious of Mona and confront her. Later, secrets are revealed about an interaction between Mona and Charlotte. When new pieces to the game are exposed, the PLLs try to dig up answers, but they’re met with the police and a shocking confession ensues, which might have derailed A.D.’s power and ended the game.

The PLL’s have moved on post A.D., and they relish in their new life. Emily and Ally enjoy domestic bliss, Hanna, Caleb, and Aria have burgeoning careers, and Spencer receives a welcome visit from Toby. But there’s more beneath the surface when someone comes face-to-face with A.D. for the first time. Plus, Aria’s romantic relationship with Ezra is impacted by a sad revelation, Hanna and Caleb reach an impasse over Mona, and Ally tries to take her relationship with Emily to the next level. Later, A.D.’s method and identity are finally revealed.
