This series is fantastic, but the digital encoding is not. I have these episodes on DVD and only bought them to easily re-watch them on my tablet, and the encoding is very poor. Quite disappointing. Jerkiness/juddering, frame skipping, mosaicing on the backgrounds, and bad aliasing/staircasing on most of the linework. It's still watcheable, but this series is partially defined by the artistic choices made, and the poor encoding takes away from this. Let's hope Google decides to re-encode this sometime soon...

Google offers high quality videos and saves your purchase if you need to re download ( also streams excellent ). My grandson and myself love the cartoon. It does not have swearwords, and Jack protects the innocent, and seems to only kill monsters and robots. Entertainment for most age groups that enjoy action packed adventures with a story. It reminds him and myself of Adventure Time ... but more serious. No disrespect meant to either of them , Great imagination from great minds . They are our top 2 !

No joke, season 1 and the 2 hour intro are truely magnificent. You can't even consider this a cartoon, its really something special. Its mature, but not over the top, touches the heartstrings, and the action sequences made my jaw drop, they were Exzillerating.. If you liked ninja scroll, naruto, afro samurai or similar titles, you will never regret it.
