About this show

Selected to spearhead the National Crime Commission's investigation into the death of a young cricketer, Janet King (Marta Dusseldorp, Jack Irish) uncovers a web of organised crime where the public face of professional sport meets the underworld of match fixing, performance enhancing drugs, money laundering, kickbacks and murder. Aided by Federal Sergeant Bianca Grieve (Anita Hegh, Carlotta) and reporting to mentor Tony Gillies (Peter Kowitz, Crownies), Janet has an otherwise new team at her disposal, with her former right-hand Richard Stirling (Hamish Michael, Ready For This) now a top barrister for several of the athletes under suspicion and the opportunistic Owen Mitchell (Damian Walshe-Howling, Old School) now head of the DPP. But when a ghost from Janet's past returns as a suspect in the NCC investigation, ethical and personal dilemmas collide and the celebrated prosecutor witnesses firsthand the terrible price some professional athletes are prepared to pay to compete at the highest levels of competition.

Yet another well crafted drama from the Australian Broadcasting Commission and Screen NSW, proving yet again that Australia can make great drama. Pity that the commercial stations have lost their way, but this market failure by the private sector is more than compensated by productions like Janet King. Please keep it up!

We live in California and we LOVE Janet King. I see the episodes are playing on the Australian Broadcasting Commission but I can't get them to play on iView/Google Play. When will we be able to get Janet King here?

Best series since crownies gives great insight in the royal commission process.
