About this show

Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie), devoid of bedside manner and dealing with his own constant physical pain, uses a cane that punctuates his acerbic, brutally honest demeanor. His behavior often borders on antisocial, but House is a brilliant diagnostician whose unconventional thinking and flawless instincts afford him a great deal of respect. An infectious disease specialist, he thrives on the challenge of solving medical puzzles in order to save lives. House shepherds an elite team of experts who help him unravel diagnostic mysteries. He has a confidant and good friend in oncology specialist Dr. James Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard), and maintains a somewhat volatile and undefined relationship with Dr. Lisa Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein), the Dean of Medicine and hospital administrator. Though the two are in constant conflict over House's duties and unconventional behavior, even she would admit that his brilliance is worth the trouble.

House is non-stop, fast paced wit, in a high-pressure, full torque environment. No one is safe from his jibes, ans he makes sure everyone knows it. 8 seasons just does not do justice to such a benchmark series. Great to see Hugh Laurie finally recognised in America, as the shining talent he so rightfully is, and always has been.

One day a long time ago I watched an episode simply because I couldn't change the channel. I immediately found the beginning of that series and watched them all. I then went back to the very start and watched them all. Once you've started watching, you're drawn into the complex characters and interesting storylines. Hugh Laurie is the only person who could give the character of House any justice. He is a fabulous actor, and in my opinion, the show itself is faultless.

House is an amazing show with relatable characters and interesting scenarios. House provides intricate stories to viewers in a compelling and pleasurable way. In fact it is that exceptionally good It makes Scrubs feel like The Big Bang Theory and not only that, it's a breath of fresh air from the other generic garbage shows Netflix pumps out. There are 8 seasons so when you do decide to watch it prepare to give up your social life and lose weight, that's how addicting it is...
