When Clark Kent (series star TOM WELLING) confronts Bizarro, the last wraith from the Phantom Zone, the ensuing fight causes the dam to break, unleashing a torrent of water. Having just been arrested for Lana Lang's (series star KRISTIN KREUK) murder, Lex Luthor (series star MICHAEL ROSENBAUM) is submerged under water in a patrol car until a mysterious young woman saves him. Lois (series star ERICA DURANCE) manages to pull Chloe (series star ALLISON MACK) to safety, but Chloe is pronounced dead at the hospital. And the woman who saved Lex reappears at the Kent farm. Series star AARON ASHMORE appears as Jimmy Olsen, and series star JOHN GLOVER appears as Lionel Luthor.

Clark and Lois discover a spaceship belonging to Kara (recurring guest star LAURA VANDERVOORT), the mysterious young woman who recently saved Lex. But before Clark and Lois can open it, Kara appears and knocks Lois unconscious. Clark is shocked when Kara tells him she is there to protect baby Kal-El. Kara left Krypton as a teenager, simultaneously with the infant Clark, and has unknowingly been in suspended animation ever since crash-landing in the dam, so she is now younger than him. Despite Kara's arrival, a despondent Clark decides that, without Lana, there is nothing keeping him in Smallville, so he heads to the Fortress of Solitude to begin his training. However, Jor-El tells him that Kara's father, Jor-El's brother, was evil, and Kara must be watched closely. Clark must stay in Smallville to find out why she came to Earth. Meanwhile, Lex makes a stunning discovery regarding Lana and Project 33.1.

Despite Clark's warnings, Kara signs up for the Miss Sweet Corn beauty pageant and meets the competition: Tyler ("America's Next Top Model" winner EVA MARCILLE), Carly (ELISA KING) and Tempest (CHRISTINE CHATELAIN), three meteor-infected vixens who plan to use their powers to steal a treasure map to a hidden Smallville time capsule. After Tyler witnesses Kara using her powers, the girls pretend to be Kara's friends, but they are really planning to use her for their devious scheme.

Unfortunately, an obsessed fan witnesses this heroic act and decides that since Clark is a real-life superhero, his girlfriend, Lana, must be eliminated so Clark can fulfill his destiny. Meanwhile, Lex discovers Lionel at a remote cabin.

Clark arrives in time to save Kara but, after searing the machine with heat vision, he also falls victim to the serum and sees his mother through Kara's memories.

After Grant refuses to use stolen material, Lana decides to take care of Lex herself. When Clark tries to stop Lana from killing Lex, a super battle ensues.

Chloe, thinking she is about to die, confesses to Jimmy (Aaron Ashmore) that she is a meteor freak.

When Lex discovers Pete's powers, he threatens to reveal Chloe is a meteor freak if Pete doesn't help him break into Lionel's safe.

About this show

This modern retelling of the Superman mythology as an action series blends realism, adventure and emotion. Years ago, a meteor shower rained destruction on an unsuspecting Smallville, Kansas. From this tragedy grew Clark Kent (Tom Welling), who, as he learns to deal with his emerging superpowers, becomes closer to the hero of legend.

Some lame stories in the many years this show ran and alot of relied on krytonite and it's effects on humans/freaks and Clark himself. I grew bored of the stories many terrible. Cause it's a tv show it would never give you the wow effect due to its budget but there were several good episodes more so towards the later series.

The young but somewhat naive Clark Kent as a youngster, following his rise to the Man Of Steel. Would highly recommend this series, a it long but you will love the final season :0) xx

watched all 10 series some even on blue ray. shame it had to end but the ending was epic :) best opening theme ever. sooome body ssaaaaaave meeeee!
