Belle attends her book's launch party incognito to get a true sense of people's reactions to her first published hardback. Duncan, Belle's editor, urges Belle to start a follow-up book, assuring her she's a natural raconteur, even though Belle is worried she may not have enough new material. While Belle, Bambi and Ben celebrate her success, Jackie, Belle's sister, shows up unexpectedly on Belle's doorstep. When Jackie discovers Belle's sex toys, Belle takes her to a fetish club to prove that lots of people are open about sex. Belle hopes that liberating Jackie's libido will drive her back to her husband, who had an affair when they stopped having sex. Living with Jackie becomes impossible and a fight culminates with Jackie punching Belle. Later that day, Belle's client rejects her when he sees her bruise; it ruins the fantasy of 'Belle' for him. With nowhere else to go, she finds herself at Duncan's office and, as they talk late into the night, the sexual tension heats up.

Belle can no longer deny her attraction to Duncan but he's keeping it professional, suggesting she find a kinky client for her next chapter. At Ben's bar, Belle discovers Ben wants to end it with her sister Jackie, but is too scared to do it himself. Bambi then lets it slip that Byron has stopped paying her. Just as she whole-heartedly digests this, Duncan shows up to apologize and wants to try a serious relationship. Belle isn't convinced—she knows prostitutes cannot have boyfriends—but when Bambi announces she is engaged to Byron, Belle finds herself questioning the rules.

Belle's next client asks her to engage in a role play which will make for a juicy next chapter in her second book. Feeling confident that she can balance work life and a relationship, Belle decides it's time to introduce Duncan to Ben, which doesn't go as smoothly as hoped. Duncan's dominating demeanor that night shocks Belle and potentially loses her a client. Things get worse when Ben and Byron show up belligerent wanting to tell Duncan exactly what they think of him. It's becoming clear to Belle that she can't have both Duncan and Ben in her life, but which man will she choose?

Belle has spent so long writing about clients, but doesn't know what it's like to be a client so she decides to book a male escort for herself.
