This show was disappointing. It had such promise in the beginning and then it takes a hard right turn into Bad Anime Town. The conflict between the two good guy factions makes no sense in the context of intergalactic bad guys trying to harvest the earth. The bad guys themselves don't make any sort of sense once they start adding more to their ranks, especially since their members have lost their memories and have experienced humanity however briefly. One of the good guys changes sides for no apparent reason. The only good part of the show was the mecha fights. So much wasted potential.

Most cliche stereotype Mecha I've ever seen. Literally half the series is about: episode A) person A switches to the bad guys. Episode B) Person B switched to bad guys. So on so forth. It gives their backstory on who they are but never even gives a reason to make them bad. Even the green dude switches for no reason even though he vowed to protect people. Wtf!

The story is pretty easy to follow and sticks to the whole "some mech is attacking so send in our mech to fight and win." But the characters and the art design is really why I think this is an anime to remember and enjoy. I really wish there was a movie or an OVA to clear up the ending but it is still complete in its own way.
