About this show

"Mr Inbetween" is a half-hour drama series inspired by the cult film "The Magician." It centers around Ray Shoesmith -- a father, ex-husband, boyfriend and best friend. All tough roles to juggle in the modern age, but it's even harder when you're a criminal for hire. Shoesmith is a man who has been hardened by the prison system and his experiences there. Now, he is learning how to deal with life in the real world -- even attending anger management classes -- away from the bars of the prison where actions always have consequences.

This show is incredible.He is the type of friend all of us wish we had. feel safe leaving your kid with him or any member of your family. He has the ability to teach you all you need to protect your family in this day and age. I love the way he gets even with bad guys. he worships his daughter and spends his time making up to her for not being around for so many years. he keeps cursing to a low for this day and age of tv and movies. But when it is time to get even watch out world, hell is on the way. Just love each episode more and more.

The star is a really good actor, but as I watched the entire series, each episode is more glum than the next. I appreciate a satirical view of life, but the last episode is an absolute downer, with no relief. Too grim, even though the star is a good actor.

A half hour drama scheduled for an hour. A half hour of commercials now, fx? Nope. Don't think so, especially when put after a 90 min ep of Mayan Bikeclub.
