Go behind-the-scenes of Emerald City, with this comprehensive look at the making of this ambitious series. Cast and crew detail what went into bringing the magic of Emerald City to life.

About this show

From visionary director Tarsem Singh ("The Fall") comes an epic reimagining of L. Frank Baum's classic stories about the wondrous Land of Oz. Adria Arjona ("True Detective") stars as Dorothy, a young woman from Kansas whose entire world is turned upside down when a tornado whisks her away to Oz - a strange and perilous land of scheming witches, deadly warriors and forbidden magic. Longing to return home, Dorothy must navigate the treacherous road to Emerald City, where she hopes to receive the help of the great and powerful Wizard of Oz (Vincent D'Onofrio, "Daredevil"). Along the way, she begins to discover the power within herself as she becomes entangled in a monumental clash of competing realms.

The series is very good. Five stars good. And I think the original story merits, and suspect its author would very much appreciate, its still being reinterpreted over 100 years later. But I seem to be having problems with Google Play. I bought the whole season and got the first 2 episodes (& "making of" video) without any problems. But it looks as if Google Play is going to charge me a 2nd time for the 3rd episode (which seems about 5 days late from Google Play to me). Hopefully, I can get everything fixed tomorrow. (The part above was posted Wed, Jan 18. What's below was posted Sat, Jan 21.) Thursday, the 3rd episode was no longer marked as if Google Play would charge me a 2nd time to download it. And it downloaded without any problems. Saturday afternoon the 4th episode became available. At one point it did look as if I would be charged a 2nd time for it. But when I went back to a more general Google Play screen and selected "my TV & movies" I was able to get to a 4th episode download link that wasn't indicating I would be charged a 2nd time. It downloaded without any problems.

Boring, bad, bland writing-sexually pairing bland Dorothy and Swordcrow-ew no-Ozma the wonderbra'd murderer, Dorothy has a gun-witch shoots herself with it, other witch is a junkie who runs a brothel, not gritty just dumb. Tinman acting just like Clegane is weak and pathetic.

I've never anticipated a series so much that I'm at the end of my seat for every waking moment. This series did not only cover every issue the world has currently addressed in the last few years, but captures a true story-line that's heart felt and very relatable to one's life. It's brilliant story line and characters creation is the most impressive I've ever seen in any sci-fiction, fairytale created. I definitely can't wait for season 2.
