Considering I am atheist I found this very interesting. I love the depiction of the Bible. My one problem is the scene wherein we see the Romans crucifying people... They never used crosses till Jesus ! And they nailed through the arms and ankle or tied you to it. Was loving the factual accuracy (not the tales but the rest) up until that point. Still worth a watch though! Regardless of your beliefs it is very interesting to watch and captivating.

Does religion enable you to make sense of a senseless world? Does the concept of an afterlife comfort you? Does the belief that you will be rewarded in Heaven enable you to cope with all the crap you have to take? How on earth can you take these stories seriously? I know why people do it - they're scared and religion gives them strength. But its all a fabricated pile of garbage. Nothing that you believe in is real. Most of these amazing stories were recycled by the authors of the Bible from other ancient religions (check out Zoroastrianism for starters) and aren't even original (let alone credible). Religion really is the opium of the masses. Why not detox?
