This is a true successor to the Clone Wars series and fits well into the Star Wars canon overall. It best illustrates what does happen between Star Wars Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars Episode 4 A New Hope. It also seriously tackles some "what the heck" and "how does this fit" questions like what happens to any newly discovered children who are "strong with the force", what happens to Ashoka Tano (my favorite Clone Wars character and maybe of the entire franchise), and what's the difference between a storm-trooper and a clone-trooper (yes there is a difference). The series also is not afraid to cross the kiddie line despite being a Disney XD original. There is a lot of battles. In fact there is more combat and fight scenes than in Clone Wars (and that was a full blown war). However no gore, and "unpleasant" lightsaber deaths are off screen. Its true quality is the mystery surrounding the characters and their backstory and give Star Wars fans such as myself who want to see deeper into that universe something we can feast into.

I absolutely love this show. But your excessive in gratuitous use of bait and switch and pricing is absolute b*******. I have supported Disney Google all these companies that allow you to get stuff like this but this is just a new low trying to skim money when you're not offering what is stated. Season pass does not mean partial season pass. Anyway you cut it. These will be my last purchases after seeing the old switcheroo. It's not about the money it's about the principle.

After getting through the first few episodes the show finds its footing and delivers Star Wars goodness. All of the characters and story that drives them are engaging and end up being more than just an animated kids show. I had no problems paying for this show and even the split seasons because obviously there were additional costs associated with the sound, music and production. I felt it was worth the few dollars I kicked out and did not feel like it was a money grab. I support more Star Wars stories that bring new look and feel.
